Precision Eye Definer Pen
The tip of this liner is so thin, you could draw the most intricate patterns if you ever needed to. The application took almost no time, and the line lasted all day. It was very easy to remove, so I was surprised that it actually stayed on for so long.

Eye Pencil in White
White eye pencils are totally mod when paired with black winged eye liner. I’m a big fan of Starlooks eye and lip liners, and this one didn’t disappoint either. The line was precise and provided great color payout, but looks like it’s lacking the staying power. After a few hours the line dimmed considerably, and by the end of the day I could barely tell that there used to be a white eye liner at all.

Bronzer in Montego Bay
You know me, I’m not a bronzer gal at all, so I was a little disappointed that we got one. But I can see how it goes with the theme of the box, since sunkissed skin was a huge thing back in the 60s-70s. This bronzer comes in a big round compact with large mirror, and being able to see your entire face while applying this type of product is actually very important. The creamy texture goes on smoothly and evenly, and sets with a beautiful satiny finish.

[Extra] Peace Pin
This was a little something extra in our boxes, a little hippie throwback that goes along with the whole Warhol theme. I wore these in the early 90s, but for the past 15 years they weren’t considered cool at all. I don’t know, it’s just not my thing I guess…

The verdict: If you read to this point I’m sure you’re wondering “Sooo…. what’s so special about this anniversary box?” And I’ll tell you, nothing. Yep, unfortunately Starlooks didn’t prepare any sweet surprises for their subscribers, so I was a bit disappointed. Overall, this box was filled with basics, and although I think basics are great and useful, I was hoping for at least one item to be a fun discovery. I have decided to pause my Starbox subscription for the time being and use that money to try out another monthly service.
