Welcome to Glamorable!

My name is Anastasia, a 30-some-year-old blogger originally from Moscow, Russia, who just can’t get enough of beauty products.  I moved to the US very recently – in September 2011 – after marrying my best friend of 10 years. I’m glad that he understands my passion for beauty products and doesn’t mind that sometimes our bathroom looks like an aisle at Sephora 🙂

I enjoy experimenting with my skincare routine and always trying different brands: from high end luxury products to more affordable drugstore items; and of course I love sharing my experience along the way – that’s why I started Glamorable in the first place back in 2012.

My preferred makeup look is more on the “natural” side of things: a good light to medium foundation, a little bit of concealer, a hint of mascara, YLBB mauve lipstick, and some rosy blush to add some healthy glow is all I normally reach for on a typical day. My true passion is skincare, though. I spend a lot of time researching ingredients, reading clinical studies, and learning to navigate through the marketing fog to find out which products are really working and which ones are just another trendy gimmick. It took me years to learn how to understand my skin’s needs, and I always like sharing my knowledge here on Glamorable in the hopes that it might help someone else.

Please keep in mind that I am not a professional and in no way licensed to give any kind of medical or cosmetic advice. I simply share what worked and did not work for me from a consumer’s point of view, and receiving a free sample from a brand does not influence my opinion in any way. I try to be as objective as possible but I genuinely do not care if a company never wants to work with me again for receiving a negative review. For every brand that drops me for that reason there will always be 3 new ones that want to be featured on my blog and social channels, so there’s absolutely no downside to being honest.

Before I was a blogger, I was a reader, and the thing that frustrated me the most was the lack of transparency. On Glamorable I always make it clear at the very beginning if the story is sponsored, if the product was provided for consideration, or if I’m using affiliate links, and ultimately you decide if you want to continue reading the post or not. I only accept sponsored opportunities from companies I support and feel good writing about, and I would never “sell out” to tout a product I don’t personally believe in or otherwise would never buy.
