Mani Monday: Color Club “Daisy Does It”, “Metamorphosis” and “Wing Fling”

Now I’ve done it! I finally decided to try and make a tri-color ombre manicure and I picked three very crazy bright colors for it. My inspiration? Parrots, peacock tails and traffic lights.

I have never really done ombre manis before, but I figured it can’t be too hard, especially since I already have a sponge for it. I recently bought one from Missha for just over a dollar and it was a breeze to work with, so you’ll be seeing more of these pictures in the future 🙂

Disclosure: I bought this.

WOW these are even better with the full view. They look so professional! This is my favorite of your mani mondays so far, I really love how festive but elegant they look 🙂

Thank you! Practice makes perfect 🙂
When I first started doing Mani Mondays, I wasn’t all that experienced with nail polish. It’s so fun to see the progress!

Ok how do you do that? Love it!

      Haha thank you!

At first I applied two coats of Metamorphosis all over my nails and let it dry completely. Then I took a nail art sponge, swiped it with Wing Fling and patted it onto my nails halfway down. I let that layer dry as well, then applied Daisy Does It with a sponge to just the tips of my nails. After that I topped everything off with two coats of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri top coat and voila! 🙂

That is really pretty! I wish I could do that but where I excel with makeup I don’t so much with my nail art lol.

      Thank you

And I’m not all that great at makeup at all, still learning! 🙂

Mani Monday: Color Club “Daisy Does It” and Wet’n’Wild “Party of Five Glitters”

Sorry for the lack of posts lately, we’re currently moving to a new place, so I’ve been very busy cleaning, packing, unpacking, decorating etc. In fact, I still am! But of course this post is about nails 🙂 This week I’m wearing this very bright and Easter-y color combination. I’ve been looking for a nice and cheap dupe for Deborah Lippmann’s “Happy Birthday” and Wet’n’Wild was the cheapest one at under $1 per bottle.

Color Club went on pretty well, but it’s a bit on the sheer side so even after 3 coats it still wasn’t completely opaque. The glitter was thick and took quite a while to dry, and that’s the only negative thing I have to say about it.

Yum! It made me think of little baby chicks, sun and confetti 🙂
