After seeing how these pictures turned out, I feel like I let myself and everyone down. This manicure is not just simple, it’s actually pretty unremarkable and boring to look at. I feel like I could have done so much more with the B&W theme and I blew it 🙁
The idea was to make it look whimsical and feminine without it being over the top, and I feel like I’ve accomplished that much, but the result turned out to be so disappointing I just want to forget it like a bad dream. I decided to post it anyway to remind myself of my failure every time I look at these pictures, so I can do better in the future.
For this poor excuse of a nail [f]art I used Color Club Mod in Manhattan as a base with hand-drawn flowers using MASH Nail Design Pen in black, and topped every flower with a tiny black nail art gem.
These nails are so bad, I thought that watermarking them is a waste of time – no one is going to steal this anyway, haha! But seriously, it’s failures like this that inspire me to do better in the future 🙂 Coming up next – a metallic manicure!
