Many of you asked to see my collection of non-toxic lipsticks on this blog and on Instagram, so today I decided to share some of my current favorites. I’ve been dipping my toes into clean and natural beauty products for just over 3 months now, so I’m still new at this, but I already have a brief idea what it means to go completely toxin-free. I did mention this in some of my previous posts, but my Clean Beauty experiment taught me several very important lessons. And one of them was that there’s no downside to swapping out all of the makeup products for cleaner alternatives, even the foundation [Idun Minerals Norrsken is literally the best thing I’ve ever tried!]. I also learned that some conventional skincare products are simply irreplaceable for me. But before I start babbling on about random stuff, let’s just try and stick to the lipsticks, hehe 🙂

For today’s blog post I picked out 10 of my most-loved natural lippies.

NU Evolution Lipstick Melon – I like orange lipstick, but prefer coral orange rather than tangerine, and Melon is the perfect hue for my complexion! This shade is opaque in 3 layers, and has creamy finish with a hint of fine shimmer.

NU Evolution Lipstick Allure – My trusted companion for bold eye looks, when I do a darker smokey eye or a dramatic colorful eyeliner [which is not nearly as often, tbh]. It’s a very flattering color on Fair skin, but it can wash you out if you’re Medium or Tan. The formula is opaque in 2 swipes, and sets with semi-matte, non-shimmery finish.

100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Pomegranate Oil Anti Aging Lipstick Dandelion – I don’t know why this color is called dandelion, because if anything, it’s more of a tulip. I normally don’t care for light pink, but this one is just right! It’s very buttery, almost like a lip balm, but at the same time quite pigmented. These pomegranate anti-aging lippies never last on my lips very long and need to be reapplied every couple of hours. The lipstick is non-shimmery and sets with a satin sheen.

100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Pomegranate Oil Anti Aging Lipstick Foxglove – The perfect YLBB nude color. I think this shade would look great on just about anybody! Again, the only con is the wear time, as this is more of a highly pigmented lip balm than an actual lipstick. This is a non-shimmery color that sets with a satin sheen.

Mineral Fusion Lipstick Butter Honeysuckle – Like 100% Pure ones above, this is more of a tinted lip balm than a true lipstick, and they are very easy to apply. In fact, I don’t even need a mirror to put it on. The formula is not super pigmented, which gives me the freedom to wear it sheer with a couple swipes or opaque with more layers. Honeysuckle is actually somewhere in-between 100% Pure Foxglove and Dandelion – a rosy nude with buttery, glossy finish and faint violet shimmer.

Mineral Fusion Lipstick Butter Ripe – I layered it for the swatches, but with only one-two swipes, Ripe is actually my perfect YLBB shade. I can probably fool people into thinking it’s my real lip color, it looks that natural. With multiple layers, you can see more of that rosy hue come out, like in the photo above.

Mineral Fusion Lipstick Butter Blackberry – I know MF calls this color Blackberry, but if you ever tried Clinique Black Honey, Burt’s Bees Raisin, or any other Raisin for that matter, this is basically a non-toxic, clean version of the classic color. Looks amazing sheer and layered up!

Hush + Dotti Natural & Vegan Lipstick T-Bone – Guys, this is literally my favorite lipstick right now. I am obsessed with the formula and the color – it’s just so me! I’ve written my Hush + Dotti makeup review earlier this month, but seriously I can’t rave about it enough. Buy this, it’s worth every penny. The color is opaque in one swipe, and sets with gorgeous satin finish.

100% Pure Cocoa Butter Semi-Matte Lipstick Sonora – This formula is epic, too! SUPER pigmented, matte, yet non-drying, and there are a ton of fun colors to choose from [there’s even a bright purple]. I went with Sonora because I am really into warm reds lately, and this one seemed perfect for my skin tone.

Benecos Natural Lipstick Watermelon – This is the darkest lipstick shade I currently wear, and I love it. This color is very chic, and it dresses up any outfit. I throw on some oversized sunnies, swipe my lips with this babe a couple times, and fly out the door looking fabulous and intentionally messy. Don’t be fooled by the color swatch on the brand’s website, just imagine a ripe, red watermelon, and that’s exactly what you get with this one.

BOTTOM LINE:

Surprise, surprise! I know you are thinking what I’m thinking, I really stick to a certain color palette for my everyday lip colors, don’t I? These are my comfort zone lipsticks, ranging from pale mauve pinks, to coral reds, and rosy berry hues. What can I say, we all have our preferences, and I tend to gravitate toward YLBB colors the most. I will say, though, these are all fantastic formulations that come in a wide variety of shades, so you will easily find the one you like from any of these brands.

What a great selection of lipsticks! I like the non-toxic theme. My dog ate a lipstick once and I was very relieved that it was a non-toxic one!

Those are so pretty and I think most (maybe all!) are cruelty free, so they’re bunny approved! 🙂

These are stunning selections. I wish I could wear lipstick – I’m more of a gloss person or lame chapstick. I love the bright reds/corals!

I’m curious, are Bite Beauty lipsticks considered non-toxic? The Hush + Doti T Bone is for me! Love that shade (and all the reds too)

I was totally thinking it was such a similar color palette, but I think we all gravitate towards colors that way
