Usually I feel like months just pass by and my Le Metier de Beaute Vault VIP shipments come faster than I can try the products inside. Well, not this time. In December I found myself stalking the tracking number every step of the way, because I really wanted to see if we’re getting something special for the Holidays.

In December, all Vault VIP members received two True Colour Eye Shadows in limited edition silver packaging, formulated exclusively for this program, and not sold anywhere else. The colors don’t have official names, but the card describes them as Deep Emerald Green and Shimmery Sand-White.

Le Metier de Beaute is known for their intensely pigmented eye shadows, and I always welcome new additions to my makeup kit. I also mentioned this in one of my earlier Vault VIP reviews, but True Colour pans are significantly bigger than most other eye shadow singles on the market, and make a worthy investment if you plan to use them a lot. I already made a pretty large dent in my Goldstone single, because I use it several times a week since I got it, and if the pan was regular-sized, it would have been empty!

Both colors are really festive, and remind me of lights on a Christmas tree. The sandy shimmer works well as a base color, or a highlighter, while the deep emerald green makes the perfect accent. It makes a great eyeliner or a crease color, and really stays on the lids to the point where I can’t even rub it off.

The formula is truly the best it can be with eye shadows. It offers bold color payoff, great longevity and blendability, and even the price isn’t too bad considering the size of the pans. If I can spot a good promotion or a coupon, I will definitely grab a few more True Colour singles for my collection.

I am so dying to try Le Metier de Beaute products. They look so luxurious!

    • November 3, 2014 / 12:31 pm

I never thought I’d try anything of theirs either before they announced this Vault VIP program, and so far it was worth every penny. Their eye shadows are particularly impressive!

  2. November 3, 2014 / 12:34 pm

Their products look wonderful. One day, I’d like to try a few.

    • November 4, 2014 / 1:27 am

Where do you live Erika? I’m in the rural area so we don’t have Neiman’s or Nordies here, but if you live in a bigger city, you could always try them at the counter. They will happily make you a few samples of their products, too 🙂

    Great neutral liners.

    • November 4, 2014 / 2:20 am

Agreed! And everyone can wear these colors.

    • November 4, 2014 / 2:22 am

It’s really not the best quality, but it really looks nice from afar 🙂

  4. November 3, 2014 / 2:10 pm

    Thanks for the swatches!

  5. November 3, 2014 / 3:46 pm

    Very pretty lip pencil shades.

    • November 4, 2014 / 2:26 am

I’m glad you liked them, too, Kim! Those neutrals are so versatile, they would suite anybody.

  6. November 3, 2014 / 4:21 pm

If I get rich one day then I´ll give these products a try 😀

    • November 4, 2014 / 2:28 am

If I ever get rich I have quite a wishlist of luxury products to buy, haha 🙂

  7. Kimberly
    November 3, 2014 / 5:09 pm

As great as these lip liners surely are, that price point is way out of my league! Phew!

    • November 4, 2014 / 2:32 am

I’m with you there Kimberly, they are out of my budget normally as well, but this LMdB VIP program allows me to try them at a huge discount. I don’t think I would have purchased them normally.

  8. November 3, 2014 / 5:57 pm

I would be so bummed with this month’s offering. I don’t really use lip liners, and a packet of cream is stingy, no matter how much they say it’s worth. I just can’t imagine paying $350 for any cream, even if it came with a Chippendales dancer to apply it! Lol

  9. Carleenp
    November 3, 2014 / 6:48 pm

I love LMB. Everything they make is awesome.

    • November 4, 2014 / 2:33 am

Good to hear that you also like their products, Carleen. So far I liked everything except the toner and those awful now-discontinued cream shadows. Goodness, those were such a disaster!

  10. November 3, 2014 / 7:22 pm

I need to try some of these goodies you have been getting!

  11. November 3, 2014 / 8:31 pm

So curious to try, sounds amazing!

  12. Lisa Heath
    November 3, 2014 / 10:03 pm

Sounds amazing! Both lip liners are shades I would wear

    • November 4, 2014 / 1:44 am

They are super wearable indeed, and I’m glad LMdB didn’t send anything too bright or too deep like last year with lipsticks.

  13. November 3, 2014 / 10:43 pm

I seriously need to join their Vault VIP program. I LOVVVVEEEE their products and everything is always so nice. Super pricey but so worth it. Those pencils look to die for!

    • November 4, 2014 / 1:43 am

Vault is seriously amazing in terms of value! The only bad thing about it is the upfront payment, and dishing out $350 for a year of mystery stuff can be too much to pay at once.

  14. MakeupByLauraG
    November 3, 2014 / 11:09 pm

    Those liners are so pretty.

    • November 4, 2014 / 1:37 am

They look even better on, trust me! I just couldn’t find a spot with good lighting to take lip swatches.

  15. Mercedes
    November 3, 2014 / 11:23 pm

The liners look like they apply nice, I’m not a fan of lip pencils I have to sharpen either.

    • November 4, 2014 / 1:23 am

Yeah, I normally would pass on these at a store just because of the whole sharpening thing, but getting them in a box makes me hate them a lot less.

  16. November 3, 2014 / 11:37 pm

I’ve never tried this line but it looks great. The vault is a great way to get into this brand.

    • November 4, 2014 / 1:06 am

Indeed, for me this was probably the *only* way to try their products. I don’t have any stores that carry the line around here, so I wouldn’t even be able to try them at the counter.

    • November 4, 2014 / 1:00 am

Thank you Miranda! I thought it was time for a change 🙂

    • November 4, 2014 / 1:25 am

The value is definitely there, considering that each box ends up being roughly $29, so I just got all that for two thirds of a lip pencil. If they do a third year, I’m so in!

    • November 4, 2014 / 1:23 am

Thank you Kath! Took me a whopping 5 minutes to make it in Picmonkey, but I really like it 🙂

    • November 5, 2014 / 2:19 pm

I didn’t used to be a lip pencil person either, but now that my lips are thinner it helps to make them look fuller.

  17. November 4, 2014 / 6:16 am

Your Le Metier de Beaute posts always enable me to try something out from the brand!

    • November 5, 2014 / 2:20 pm

I hope it was all good enabling 🙂 Your posts always make me want all the lipsticks you’re wearing.

  18. November 4, 2014 / 9:34 pm

I love LMdB but they are just too expensive.

    • November 5, 2014 / 2:20 pm

I’m with you, they are outside of my usual price range, and this VIP program is the only way for me to try them.

It sounds lovely. I can’t wait to hear how you feel about it in a few weeks.

    • October 2, 2014 / 11:29 am

Can’t go wrong with retinol, right? 🙂 Hopefully it helps even out my skin tone, even if only a little bit.

  2. October 2, 2014 / 11:21 am

It sounds like a good product, but $175 USD for 2 oz? I´m not sure I will ever spend that much money on one beauty product.

    • October 2, 2014 / 11:29 am

I’m with you Leelo, I’m definitely not their target demographic, and 99% of their products are either a splurge or way too expensive for me, that’s why I really appreciate the opportunity to try LMdB at a huge discount via this VIP program.

  3. October 2, 2014 / 1:49 pm

    It looks lovely.

  4. October 2, 2014 / 3:03 pm

That looks lovely but it is way out of my budget.

  5. October 2, 2014 / 4:30 pm

I think tinted moisturizers are awesome for those days where you just need to go out and run errands and don’t wanna put the full face on!

  6. October 2, 2014 / 6:05 pm

Looks fabulous but this is just too expensive for me.

  7. October 2, 2014 / 7:09 pm

My budget expectations for Skincare have definitely expanded, but not quite to that extent. For $175, I expect it to also clean my bathroom and do the dishes, I guess! Glad you got to try it in your sub box!

  8. October 2, 2014 / 8:47 pm

OMG, $175 for a tinted moisturizer?? I would much rather have one of their palettes. Great idea to mix it in with your BB cream. I may try that tip on all of my tinted moisturizers since they are too sheer for me.

  9. October 2, 2014 / 10:57 pm

It sounds great, but will probably skip since I have oily skin

  10. October 3, 2014 / 12:42 am

Whooooooa that’s a lot of money. But it would be a great way to try something super expensive in one of those boxes!

  11. October 3, 2014 / 2:01 am

this looks like a fabulous product… but man… that price point… wowzers.

  12. October 3, 2014 / 12:24 pm

As much as I love LMdB NO WAY would I spend that on a tinted moisturizer unless it was from the Gods lol

  13. October 7, 2014 / 3:12 pm

That is soo expensive for a timted moisturizer! Dang…

This is great! I didn’t even think of computing the value of the products I use regularly. I’ve since run out of the lash serum and the dark spot corrector.

    • July 26, 2014 / 11:08 am

Wasn’t that lash serum amazing? And what did you think of the Dark Spot Corrector, did it work well for you? Mine still has a little bit left, maybe a few weeks’ worth.

This is a great comprehensive post! I’m happy to see you received well over what you paid for the service! It looks like some months were much better than others.

    • July 26, 2014 / 11:07 am

Thank you Arielle, I’m glad you found this post informative. Some months were definitely better than others, and there were a couple of total duds, but overall, I feel like this investment was well worth the money.

    • July 26, 2014 / 11:06 am

Yeah, that’s what I thought, too. Dishing out $350 for a total mystery was a huge gamble, and I’m glad it paid off.

    July 24, 2014 / 2:31 pm

Wow, that’s such an amazing round-up! Each and everything looks SO beautiful! <3

Thank you Shipra, glad you are liking this roundup. It really helps put things in perspective, doesn’t it?

  4. BlackMagicRose
    July 25, 2014 / 12:03 pm

I like a lot of what you received, but it seems like a big gamble to me for so much money. I feel like I could spend $350 on stuff I really really wanted at Sephora and be as (or more) happy. Those kaleidoscopes are really nice!

    • July 26, 2014 / 10:53 am

I totally understand, and I’ve been struggling with that thought myself, too. But after thinking it over, I decided that it’s a fair price to pay for a collection of luxury products. If Chanel had a sub that cost $350/year, would you get it? I’d be all over it! :)))

    • BlackMagicRose
      July 26, 2014 / 12:18 pm

You’re right, of course. I think it’s the annual thing that throws me off. If you think of it monthly, it’s not really much more than Glossybox! I think I might actually sign up for this. I’ve been tempted for awhile, and it doesn’t become available very often!

  5. lvp8779
    July 25, 2014 / 7:08 pm

Love the round up! Your posts really helped me pull the trigger on this sub. I love LMdB and the value of the products versus the upfront cost is a no-brainer. Thanks for enabling! 🙂

    • July 26, 2014 / 10:50 am

Glad I could help make a decision! It was an easy one for me, too, because I really enjoyed most of the products I got throughout the year.

  6. LVMAKEUP
    July 26, 2014 / 5:32 pm

I agree with you, this is subscription worth re signing up for. I didn’t have many Le Metier products is why I joined last year and I think the year was really great. I am also looking forward to another year. Plus looking forward to what the renew gift will be 🙂

The clorox scent may turn me off though but that’s one interesting toner!

  2. June 20, 2014 / 5:26 am

I hope you revisit this review later and tell me if it actually did anything!

  3. June 20, 2014 / 7:46 am

This toner sounds good (except the scent) and I like it´s packaging!

  4. June 20, 2014 / 8:43 am

I don’t think I’d like this due to the scent and price.

  5. June 20, 2014 / 10:16 am

Based on the scent description I would have to pass.

  6. June 20, 2014 / 10:32 am

This toner sounds great, the bottle is HUGE. I am looking forward to seeing how you like it after a while using it.

  7. June 20, 2014 / 11:14 am

I swear your posts on LmdB always make me want to buy their stuff!

  8. June 20, 2014 / 3:43 pm

The packaging is indeed lovely. What a great idea for a monthly subscription service.

  9. June 20, 2014 / 3:43 pm

    What a huge bottle!

  10. June 20, 2014 / 5:21 pm

Sounds like a super nice idea for a subscription service.

  11. June 20, 2014 / 10:35 pm

I’ve debated buying it for year two but I think I’d be disappointed with about 1/3 of the boxes. I just don’t think I can put out this much money for it.

  12. June 20, 2014 / 11:11 pm

That bottle is enough to make me want to try it!! I’m a sucker for packaging even if the product doesn’t always live up to it!

  13. June 21, 2014 / 11:12 am

That’s a pricey subscription but at least you get quality stuff!

  14. June 22, 2014 / 3:49 am

I absolutely love the sleekness of the packaging. The price is steep – but that is something I want to try.

  15. Prime Beauty

That’s a huge bottle. The VIP subscription is too expensive for me.

Le Metier de Beaute Beauty Vault VIP May 2014 Review, Pictures, Swatches

purchased affiliate links

In May, all Le Metier de Beaute Vault VIPs received two full-sized True Colour Eye Shadow pans in universally flattering shades Peachy Keen and Goldstone. We all pretty much expected to receive these iconic eye shadow singles at some point, but my main concern was the possible shades that we might get, because some of them are somewhat extravagant. Glad that both Peachy Keen and Goldstone can work for every complexion!

Indeed, those are universally flattering everyday shades. And the formula is fabulous!

    • May 25, 2014 / 1:47 pm

Right? I was iffy about it at first, because I rarely wear metallics, but this one is so soft and warm.

  1. May 24, 2014 / 1:08 pm

    I love the eyeshadows!

    • May 25, 2014 / 1:48 pm

I think I do, too. So far I tried 6 different LMdB colors and they were all awesome.

  2. May 24, 2014 / 1:20 pm

Gorgeous colors! I don’t hear enough about LMdB anymore!

    • May 25, 2014 / 1:52 pm

Yeah, looks like they don’t advertise much, and I don’t follow that many “luxury” bloggers.

  3. May 24, 2014 / 2:43 pm

There’s not enough talk about LMdB lately. This box is a great one – one of the better ones actually. Pretty colors.

    • May 25, 2014 / 1:53 pm

Agreed, I think it’s one of the best boxes they sent out so far. These colors are lovely!

  4. May 24, 2014 / 4:01 pm

I always droll over this line when I see you post it 🙂 Gorgeous bronzer by the way

  5. May 24, 2014 / 7:26 pm

    • May 25, 2014 / 1:54 pm

  6. May 24, 2014 / 9:18 pm

Those are very pretty and wearable shades! After seeing how teeny-tiny their nail polish bottles are, I’m pleasantly surprised to see how huge their eyeshadows are!

    • May 25, 2014 / 1:55 pm

Indeed, I was underwhelmed by the size of their polishes, but their eye shadow pans are really big, probably the biggest I’ve seen.

    • May 25, 2014 / 1:57 pm

Rightfully so, since these eye shadows are some of the brand’s best products.

  7. May 24, 2014 / 10:29 pm

I need to try this brand! These colors are perfect for any occasion!

    • May 25, 2014 / 1:59 pm

You’re right, they’re very wearable and the formula is fantastic.

  8. May 25, 2014 / 1:52 am

I haven´t tried them, but these are definirely the shades I would wear a lot.

    • May 25, 2014 / 2:00 pm

I agree, these colors would look fantastic on you 🙂

    • May 25, 2014 / 2:00 pm

I thought so too, and then turned them around to read the label and they turned out to be eyeshadows. They sure are pricey, but you get a ton of product.

Le Metier de Beaute Beauty Vault VIP April 2014 Review, Pictures, Swatches

purchased affiliate links

In the month of april, Le Metier de Beaute Vaul VIP members received only one full-sized product – Peau Vierge Anti-Aging Pressed Powder. As far as I know, there were two shades sent out: Shade #1 for fair skin, and Shade #2 for medium complexions. I received Shade #2, and just from the look of it I expected that it would be too dark for me, but it actually blended in quite nicely. You’ll see later in the swatches!

This box gives off such a luxurious feel! The powder looks gorgeous on you 🙂

    • April 15, 2014 / 7:50 pm

Hi Noelle — This box is a splurge, but so far it really paid off! I’m glad I have this opportunity to try an assortment of LMdB luxury products for as low as $29/month. I often get asked if I think this subscription was worth it, and in my opinion, it was 🙂 And thank you!

  2. April 15, 2014 / 10:18 am

OOOO!! So I didn’t know you got a product every month with the vault vip!

    • April 15, 2014 / 7:51 pm

Hi Eugenia — LMdB introduced this program to reward their loyal customers (but really anyone could subscribe), so for $29/month they’d send you a box of treats for a year. So far this has been a great ride!

  3. April 15, 2014 / 10:28 am

Pretty! I’ve been wanting to try this!!

    • April 15, 2014 / 7:57 pm

Hi Brooke — I only found out about these powders last month and then received one in my LMdB box. Lucky! 🙂

  4. April 15, 2014 / 12:35 pm

    It looks great on you!

    • April 15, 2014 / 7:59 pm

Hi Phyrra — Thank you, I’m glad you feel that way! I don’t have many powders, and it’s great to have one that looks great and works great.

    • April 15, 2014 / 8:23 pm

Hi Leticia — It’s a pretty good powder, indeed, but I’m most pleased with its skincare properties – not many powders do that.

    • April 15, 2014 / 8:25 pm

Hi Erika – I’m glad you like the way this powder looks! The case is elegant and sleek, and the powder itself has really good formula.

  5. April 15, 2014 / 2:20 pm

Gorgeous powder compact! and it looks beautiful on you

    • April 15, 2014 / 8:31 pm

Hi Allison — Thank you, I’m happy to hear that you like this powder on me! I agree, the compact looks so classy and elegant, I will enjoy carrying it around in my purse 🙂

    • April 15, 2014 / 8:33 pm

Hi Miranda — Thank you! 🙂 It looks matte and absorbs excess oil so well!

    • April 15, 2014 / 8:35 pm

Hi Sheila — Thank you! I think this powder is very pretty, too; it will make a nice addition to my staple stash.

  6. April 15, 2014 / 3:26 pm

It doesn’t even look like powder in the photos! Amazing.

    • April 15, 2014 / 4:19 pm

Hi Norah — I know, right? I was very surprised when I actually applied it on my skin, it looked nothing like the color in the pan. It gave my face a slight yellow tint (which is fine, because my skin has yellow undertones anyway), and really mattified the t-zone.

  7. April 15, 2014 / 7:20 pm

This looks great on you. It looks like your skin.

    • April 15, 2014 / 8:36 pm

Hi Kim — I’m glad that you like the way it looks on me, so the color is a good match after all. Thank you!

  8. April 15, 2014 / 7:30 pm

What a luxe subscription! You look beautifully natural!

    • April 15, 2014 / 8:42 pm

Hi Stephanie — I agree, this was very much a splurge, and I’m not entirely sure I’ll have the budget to opt in for another year, but it was a good ride. Still, three more months left, looking forward to getting my surprises 🙂

  9. April 15, 2014 / 8:00 pm

This is a great subscription box!

    • April 15, 2014 / 8:37 pm

Hi Kelly — It’s probably my biggest splurge, mainly because I had to prepay for the whole year in advance, but I think it was worth it.

    • April 15, 2014 / 8:47 pm

Hi Laura — The feeling is mutual <3 🙂

    • April 15, 2014 / 8:48 pm

Hi Honey — Thank you, I’m so happy to hear that you think this color suits me! It’s always good to get an unbiased opinion 🙂

  10. April 15, 2014 / 9:39 pm

That looks beautiful on your skin!

  11. April 15, 2014 / 10:16 pm

I love LMDB products, but the vault is too rich for me!

  12. April 15, 2014 / 10:22 pm

wow that looks great on you

  13. April 15, 2014 / 11:54 pm

LMdB is my guilty pleasure that I usually buy when I am having a rough time and I need a bit of luxury and pampering to perk me up. This look grea on you. I might be popping by my LMdB counter to test this out.

  14. April 16, 2014 / 12:18 am

I hereby officially declare you as the subscription box queen. Kidding aside, you made me lemming this powder so bad!!!!

  15. April 16, 2014 / 12:32 am

I REALLY want to try this membership! You must have the best time checking the mail everyday, you subscribe to everything girl! haha

  16. April 16, 2014 / 12:42 am

I like how the finish is matte, but not chalky or powdery. Almost a satin finish with a luminosity. Lovely!

  17. April 16, 2014 / 3:36 am

Never heard of Le Metier de Beaute Vaul before. This powder looks amazing.

  18. April 21, 2014 / 7:12 pm

I would love to get my hands on this to try it out!

Looks like they will have a lot more subscribers this time 🙂

  1. January 8, 2014 / 8:20 am

Sounds like a great product! Another confirmation of sometimes a name is just a name, though – and sometimes a cheaper or generic version of a product really *is* the same thing.

    • January 9, 2014 / 12:24 pm

Exactly, and I’m hoping that CS rep was truthful in her response.

  2. January 8, 2014 / 9:20 am

I love the sounds of the finish this gives you. Also, I really like the explanation the company gave, that they were so transparent in how it came to pop up on Amazon as a generic. So many brands can be found as products of private labeling, especially in the nail world.

    • January 9, 2014 / 12:25 pm

Ah yes, there are many indies who claim they hand mix everything to make their polishes seem unique, when they actually get their products made by a PLM.

  3. January 8, 2014 / 10:58 am

Very cool! I’ve only tried a few small samples from the brand & it is hard to get an overall opinion off those!

    • January 9, 2014 / 12:29 pm

My love for LMdB also began with a small sample that I received in a Glossybox. At the time I thought that was the best facial moisturizer with SPF that I have ever tried, then I checked online for prices and realized that it’s way out of my price range 🙂

  4. January 8, 2014 / 11:14 am

I think that their reasoning makes sense. When I worked at TBS they had an awesome brush cleaner that they didn’t sell, we just used in stores. Now that i don’t work there (and can’t get it for free!) I really wished that they sold it!

    • January 9, 2014 / 12:30 pm

Good to know that their reasoning sounds legit, as a consumer who never had any experience “on the inside” I wasn’t sure if I can believe the words of that CS.

  5. January 8, 2014 / 12:19 pm

I guess the explanation makes sense abstractly, but still a letdown, I’m sure :/

    • January 9, 2014 / 12:30 pm

Definitely, but at least they kept the exclusivity somewhat, until that other company decided to start selling on Amazon.

  6. January 8, 2014 / 12:31 pm

I like MAC Gently Off the best. I can’t seem to find a cheaper version I like as well. I would’ve been disappointed in this shipment as well. At least a mascara so you can use the remover to remove it lol Luckily all of the other months they spoil you 😉

    • January 9, 2014 / 12:31 pm

Haha, yep, I normally would have been delighted, but we got too spoiled by the previous treats 🙂 Had to kick myself a few times to snap out of it.

  7. January 8, 2014 / 12:59 pm

Hmm interesting about the whole correspondence on the amazon listing. I’d be kinda bummed, too.

    • January 9, 2014 / 12:34 pm

Well, at least they didn’t lie about not selling it anywhere before. I googled and found nothing, there are barely even any pictures of it online. Too bad that their partners now made this product accessible on Amazon, but on the bright side that also means I can actually buy more of it, knowing it’s the same exact product.

  8. January 8, 2014 / 3:00 pm

Strange reasoning but I suppose it does make sense! I’d be a bit disappointed as well.

    • January 9, 2014 / 12:36 pm

Yeah, it left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth, but i can’t deny that the product is actually really good.

  9. January 8, 2014 / 3:15 pm

I love their products that I’ve tried.

    • January 9, 2014 / 12:36 pm

Me too, except for those awful cream eye shadows that crease the second you put them on 🙂

  10. January 8, 2014 / 4:11 pm

I’ve never tried their products, but that seems like a lot of money for an eye makeup remover…

    • January 9, 2014 / 12:38 pm

It sure is, but LMdB market themselves as a luxury brand, so they price their products accordingly.

  11. January 8, 2014 / 5:46 pm

I always love hearing about your LMdB goodies. It’s a brand I’d love to try, but just not in my price range. Kind of a bummer about the product being sold on Amazon, but at least they responded professionally! 🙂

    • January 9, 2014 / 12:39 pm

They sure did give a satisfactory reply, but I’m still left a bit bummed 🙂

  12. January 8, 2014 / 9:14 pm

When I saw that was the entire box for last month I was surprised. I’m glad it’s good but it did seem skimpy.

    • January 9, 2014 / 12:40 pm

Yeah, it sure seemed very underwhelming compared to other months. But like that CS rep said, I also see these boxes as a collection of products, so I guess I’m not really complaining.

  13. January 8, 2014 / 9:33 pm

I have never tried LMdB products because I have heard so many people say that they are ALL repackaged products. I heard it from very notable people within the cosmetics industry. Not interested in forking over a bunch of cash for products that are essentially just repackaged.

    • January 9, 2014 / 12:42 pm

I’m very curious to know which products are they repackaging? I did like what I tried so far, but if there are cheaper versions available of essentially the same products, I would love to know where to get them.

    • January 9, 2014 / 12:42 pm

They always send lovely handwritten notes, I also think it’s a cute touch 🙂

  14. January 9, 2014 / 2:34 pm

What an interesting concept for a subscription box!

They pretty much pinky-swore to open subscriptions again next year 🙂

  2. December 14, 2013 / 9:37 pm

What a beautiful palette! I love the shades! I haven’t tried LMdB, but I would really like to. 🙂

    • December 16, 2013 / 6:57 pm

I agree, it’s staple-worthy! And the shades are universally flattering, too 🙂

Le Metier de Beaute Beauty Vault VIP Unboxing and Review: November 2013

If you thought last month was amazing, wait til you read this review. I honestly didn’t think that the November box would be as awesome as it was, but LMdB really spoiled us with this one. For me personally, this month’s selection came second only to inaugural box, which was pretty epic.

  1. November 5, 2013 / 9:27 pm

I’ve never heard of using castor oil for brows/lashes! What does it do?

    • November 6, 2013 / 12:24 am

It works as a natural hair growth treatment, and also makes the strands thicker. It’s also very gentle that even people who lost hair due to radiation treatment can use it. My own uncle used it to regrow his hair after he won a battle against lung cancer 🙂

  2. December 8, 2013 / 11:00 pm

I missed out when the subscription opened this year 🙁 I am marking my calendar for 2014. All the boxes you’ve received are super awesome!!!!!

    • December 11, 2013 / 1:20 pm

Considering how amazing these boxes have been so far, I’m sure they will sell out really quick next year.

Le Metier de Beaute Beauty Vault VIP Unboxing and Review: October 2013

Thanks! Out of curiosity what did they do about the broken eye shadow in your first month? I am really thinking about signing up next year, depending on how the products look this year. I haven’t bought any of the individual items because they are so $$$$$.

    • October 16, 2013 / 8:39 pm

Hi Anneke! I contacted CS and the lady who assisted me was very helpful. Since that particular palette was LE, she had to call several warehouses until she finally found one to send me. The whole replacement process took about two weeks, and they were always quick to reply to my emails.

Le Metier de Beaute Beauty Vault VIP Unboxing and Review: September 2013

September is my Birthday month (and today is my Birthday!), so I’m always secretly hoping for better samples and products in my subscription boxes. Yeah, that’s just odd 🙁 Oh well, I’ll make it work somehow 🙂

  2. September 16, 2013 / 11:50 am

it sucks when a high end product ends up not living up to the cost and expectations. i dont understand why they think people want their makeup to look “undone”. isnt the point of wearing makeup to look put together?

Hi, Anastasia! I’m looking through all of your past LMdB posts because I just subscribed for the next round (EEK!!!) and wanted to see if it was worth it. I just had to comment to say I actually think these are quite stunning on you, and I love the undone look! To each her own, I guess 🙂

    • June 12, 2014 / 12:37 pm

Hi Laura! So glad that you subscribed to LMdB box, you are certainly goint to get your money’s worth. These eye shadows looked nice at first, but they creased and melted off within the first hour. The product was so poorly received, LMdB had to pull it off the shelves. I hope you don’t see a dud like that in your upcoming boxes 🙂
