A few weeks ago I told you about HUM Nutrition Runway Ready, which I completely used up at this point. After having great results with it, I really took a liking to HUM supplements and started taking Here Comes The Sun and Smooth Operator, that were recommended to me.
If you also want to find out which HUM supplements would suit you best, you can take a 3-minute test, and the program will pick them for you. You will also be assigned a personal HUM nutritionist, who will review your quiz results and answer any questions and concerns you may have about your new regimen. I was assigned to Alex Caspero MA, RD – a Registered Dietitian and nutrition expert, who often appears on TV; that’s some celebrity treatment right there!
You all probably know this already, but I am an avid sun-hater, partially because of melanoma scare, and partially because it’s the leading cause of premature skin aging. Every single day, whether I’m going outside or staying indoors, I slather myself with a generous layer of sunscreen – SPF30 for a day inside the house, and SPF50++ if I plan to go out.
Since the best way of getting Vitamin D3 naturally is by being exposed to the sun’s harmful rays, I know I’m not getting enough for sure, so Vitamin D3 supplements were practically made for vampires like me. HUM Nutrition developed Here Comes The Sun for people with Vitamin D deficiency, which is crucial for the body’s ability to absorb calcium, needed for strong teeth and bones. I heard it also helps with depression and mood swings [see, Mike, told ya I’m not crazy, just D3 deficient lol!].
Vitamin D deficiency affects many of us. Here Comes the Sun™ is high in Vitamin D3, which is regarded as superior to D2 by many scientists. This vitamin is considered essential for calcium absorption, skin protection, and healthy bones and teeth.
There is more info on the site about the benefits of this supplement, and the clinical trials associated with it, but almost everyone – 96% – who took D3 regularly noticed positive results, according to consumer studies. HUM Nutrition suggests taking two soft gels daily with food for best results.
Ingredients: Vitamin D3, Olive Oil, Gelatin, Glycerin, Water.
Another supplement I started taking is Smooth Operator, which is basically like an anti-aging treatment, but from the inside. I don’t have any permanent lines on my skin yet, and I want it to stay that way for as long as possible. Since I’m now in my 30s, I noticed that my skin is slowly losing its firmness, and if I smile, laugh, or frown for too long, the lines that form as a result of those emotions seem to stay on my face for longer periods of time, before the collagen finally smooths them out. That’s why I decided to start taking collagen supplements, in addition to using skin care with the same ingredient – hopefully, together they might help slow down the skin aging process, which is inevitable for all of us.
Keep fine lines under control. A key contributor to the appearance of aging is reduced collagen production, leading to wrinkling, sagging, and discoloration of the skin. Smooth Operator™ contains a unique skin repair and protection blend with types I, II, and III Collagen. These essentials for healthy, young-looking skin help Smooth Operator support skin elasticity and protect the skin for your beauty future.
Smooth Operator contains several key components that can help keep the skin moisturized, plump, and evenly-toned; and I bet you’ve already used all of them in your skin care routine at some point. I’m talking about Vitamins C and E, which are included in many creams and serums these days; a powerful antioxidant Resveratrol; three types of collagen peptides; and of course, the Queen of hydration – hyaluronic acid and another moisturizing agent – chondroitin sulfate. HUM recommends taking three capsules daily, with food at any time of the day.
Ingredients: Collagen Peptide Hydro-matrix blend including Types I, II, and III, Chondriotin Sulfate, Hyaluronic Acid, Red Wine Extract, Grape Seed Extract, Gelatin, Cellulose from Vegetable Source, Magnesium Stearate from Vegetable Source.
Anyhow, after trying these two, and Runway Ready, I went ahead and placed an order for three more bottles of supplements. You know a product is good when a blogger buys more after receiving a free sample! Friends don’t let friends shop without coupons, so here’s how to score a really good deal on your very first batch of HUM goodies:
- First of all, go here, scroll down, and click the pink “GET STARTED” button. That will prompt you to take a personalized quiz, and the specially designed algorithm will select the best supplements for your concerns. There is a surprise at the end of the quiz – a $10 off code with a 5-day expiration date.
- There is also a pretty sweet 25% discount, which applies automatically when you buy 3 or more supplements. I highly recommend getting all 3 bottles!
- At checkout, don’t forget to use your personal $10 discount by putting it in the COUPON CODE area.
- But wait, there’s more! In the REFERRAL CODE area, enter F910B to get another $10 off. That’s my personal code, and if you use it, I will also get $10 off my next shipment, so it’s win-win!
Buying your first round of HUM Nutrition supplements this way will considerably lower the initial cost and allow you to try several products at once. My total was $75, and went down to $36.25 after all discounts, which is less than what I’s pay for three bottles of my usual drugstore vitamins!
WHERE TO BUY:
- Smooth Operator – $40 USD for 90 capsules. Available at Sephora, HUM Nutrition.
- Here Comes The Sun – $20 USD for 120 softgels. Available at Sephora, HUM Nutrition.

I totally used to take Vit D supplements along with biotin. I got lazy but this post reminded me that I need to start that up again!
Biotin and Vit D are my pantry staples, for sure 🙂
I take vitamin D, biotin, and NeoCell Collagen. I believe in all of ’em!
I am trying NeoCell chews right now, after reading everyone’s recommendations. They’re good!
I love all the NeoCell chews. I wish they’d send me some more, lol
Ha! I bet all you have to do is ask 😉
Really? Hmmm. I’ll see if there’s some chews I haven’t tried yet, lol
I take a multivitamin and Calcium with D3 almost everyday. I really like the HUM has a test you can take to discover which vitamin is right for you. Very smart and helpful.
Loved the test! And it gives you very detailed results, too, not like a brief list of product picks.
I’m a vampire, too, so getting enough D3 is a challenge. I’ve tried liquid D3, but didn’t like the taste as much.
I don’t like liquid supplements of any kind, no matter what they are. It’s all about fruity chews or plain caplets for me.
I take prenatals and fish oil but I will need to rethink my strategy after baby arrives! This is helpful!
Fish oil is great! I ran out of my bottle a couple months ago, but haven’t picked up a new one because I ended up eating fish 3 times a week, so I think I’m getting enough omegas for now.
I take 5,000 IU of D3 a day, per my doc’s orders. I wish that I could swallow a capsule and have smoother skin… *sigh*
I think that’s what those collagen supplements claim to do – they make your skin smoother, but from the inside. The effect is obviously not super drastic, but I think they do work to some extent.
I definitely need to start taking more supplements! These sound great!
I used to ignore supplements, thinking they don’t do anything, but I definitely notice when I stop – it’s like my skin, hair, and overall well-being are just not the same.
I believe!! I do take beauty supplements and I take Vitamin D3. I stopped for about 6 months and my doctor ordered me back on it. HUM has great products.
I can’t speak for the entire lineup, but HUM products I tried so far have been great to my skin! My hair is particularly flourishing 🙂
I take Vitamin D3 per my doctor. It’s just one pill though. I also take hair, skin & nails vitamins.
D3 is great, I definitely notice its absence if I stop taking it for a while.
Can’t wait to try these for myslef!!
I look forward to reading your thoughts on these 🙂
I’m with you, I’m all about sun protection w/o compromising Vit D. I agree, most people don’t know they are Vit D deficient so supplementation is one key
We are like soul sisters, Kath, I think I’m going to be you when I grow up <3
Very interesting that one is from the inside out. I don’t take many supplements anymore, but I’ve heard some nice things about this company.
I didn’t used to take many supplements either because I had to take actual meds for a while, but now that I don’t have any prescriptions, I can supplement-away 🙂 Some are better than others, but I always notice changes when I stop taking them.
I definitely need to look at making an order, especially with all the discounts you listed!
Indeed, that is a very good deal, but it only works on your first order. I am already enjoying my new goodies!
I currently don’t take any supplements but I know that I have trouble getting enough Vitamin D in
You mean to tell me those gorgeous nails just grew on their own? Girl, I’m dying of envy here!
Awesome discounts! I’ve been looking to get into more supplements.
The discounts make is a great deal, indeed!
