[OVER] Celebrate New Year in Style With Covergirl & Rent The Runway + Giveaway!

So, what are everyone’s plans for New Year’s Eve? I’m probably not doing anything fancy, but I still want to look put together even if it’s just a family gathering. Actually, in Russia where I’m from, we didn’t celebrate Christmas at all, and New Year was the Holiday of the year, when everybody got presents and people dressed up and went to parties, so I kind of developed a habit of going an extra mile to make sure I look my best at midnight even after moving to the US.

For my makeup this year I plan to wear something classic: neutral smoky eyes and a red lippie, like one of those new Colorlicious Lipsticks from COVERGIRL. They come in 36 pretty shades and feature hydrating formula with shea butter and long staying power. For this look I chose Succulent Cherry, but I think I will go back to Walmart and pick up Ravishing Rose and Darling Kiss as well. I know, I know, I’m totally a nudes/neutrals girl 🙂

Of course I want to wear something special, too. Normally, I’d bust out one of my two favorite merino wool Winter dresses, but I already attended several family events in them this year. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not like those snobby celebrities who wear every outfit once and then let it collect dust, but wouldn’t you feel a bit weird if you went to a family Christmas, and notice that your cousin Ana is wearing the same dress as the one you saw her in for Thanksgiving?

And this is where Rent The Runway comes in! I like that I can just rent a designer dress for the weekend, and they will even ship me an extra in another size just in case the first one doesn’t fit. I was sent a $50 gift card to try out the service, and being the indecisive donkey I am, I somehow managed to narrow it down to three choices, but I need your help!

My criteria for the dress is a) pretty, but not too dressyb) not sleevelessc) comfortable. Which one would you pick from the choices above? There were tons of other dresses of course, with sequins, crystals, and pretty prints but a family get together is not exactly an event that warrants such glamorous attire.

Want to try COVERGIRL Colorlicious Lipstick and rent a pretty dress [or even an “ugly sweater”] for an upcoming occasion, too? This is a quick giveaway that will only be active for a few days, so the winner has enough time to order a cute dress in time for a New Year’s party. Good luck!
