I usually don’t write about things like this, but in this case [pun intended!] I simply had to share, and today is Small Business Saturday. I recently came across Gloria’s Pill Cases and couldn’t get over how adorable [glam-orable!] they were. I instantly thought that they’d make great small gifts for a family member or a friend, if appropriate, because they’re so handy and look like pretty coin purses.
Gloria’s Zip-A-Round Travel Pill Cases come in dozens of patterns and materials, so I had a hard time choosing just one. The selection is so wide, it’s easy to find something for everyone: boys, girls, adults, seniors… I ended up with Citrus Blue Flower, its beautiful blue, white, and orange pattern stood out as one of my top picks the moment I loaded the website.
These pill cases measure approximately 3-3/4″ by 1″. Inside, there are seven compartments, and each one holds roughly 18 aspirin-sized pills, 6 oval vitamin-sized pills, or 4 fish oil capsules. Yep, you can really fit a lot of pills in there. Each pill case also has a small pocket inside for medicine instructions, or whatever else you might want to put there. Plastic pill box is secured in place with Velcro, making it easily removable and washable.
With patterned accessories it’s easy to tell if the quality is good or not by looking at zippers, stitching, and pattern placement. I’m sure you already see from the pictures in this post – my pill case was absolutely perfect! Every stitch was in place, the zipper was easy to use and sewn onto the case evenly, and the pattern was perfectly aligned. It’s like someone sat down and lovingly crafted it for me, making sure everything is where it should be. And you know what? They did.
Gloria’s Pill Cases is a mother-daughter owned business that sprouted from Gloria’s love for sewing. She had a hard time finding a convenient 7-day pill organizer, so she decided to create her own, which eventually led to making them for friends and family. Eventually, Gloria’s daughter Lynn offered to sell her cases online, and they’ve been flying off the shelves since.
