Today marks the 15th annual celebration of World Water Day. Established in 1993 by the UN General Assembly, this worldwide event aims to raise awareness about the sustainable management of freshwater resources and the different ways we can help preserve them. Over 750 million people in the world lack access to clean water, while a lot of us are used to the luxury of taking a 5-minute shower, sending between 10 and 25 gallons of this precious resource down the drain.
