YUNI – When Beauty Meets Yoga

pr sample

New cosmetic companies launch practically every day, but this one is quite different. Founded by Emmanuel Ray and Suzanne Dawson, YUNI is the first natural beauty brand designed to enhance the yoga practice. Made with ethically sourced high quality plant ingredients from all over the globe, each of these exquisite skin, body, and hair care products create a sensory “anchor” that reconnects the user with their yoga experience.

The only products I used after my classes at that time were wet wipes and a refreshing mist, but looks like YUNI has the whole range things an aspiring yogi might need in their bag!

Instant Shower Sheets are perfect for a hot yoga session. Infused with peppermint oil and neem leaf extract, they clean and deodorize the skin, making it feel petal fresh. I also like them for neem’s ability to purify the pores, which helps deal with body breakouts. My upper back could definitely use some help in that department.

It has a relaxing herbal aroma, that smells so good, I just want to keep inhaling it over and over! The serum’s slightly runny formula has a lotiony feel to it, which absorbs into the skin almost immediately without leaving a sticky layer.

I’ve been using it to freshen up after particularly intense cardio reps [around 180+ bpm] when my body is hot and sweaty. Sometimes when sweat dries during a workout my skin starts to itch, but this foam eliminated that problem.

I used it all over my body, giving special attention to those dry heels, elbows, and knees, and it improved the overall condition of those areas practically overnight. This thick paste contains shea butter and organic kukui seed oil, that are both revered for their incredible ability to moisturize, soothe, and nourish the skin and hair.

It’s one of those roll-on ointments that provide cooling effect to relieve sore muscles, courtesy of peppermint oil in the formula. The gel also contains fair trade green tea extract and arnica to fight inflammation, however the effect is only topical. If the pain is too intense I usually take a mild OTC painkiller.

Everything about YUNI – from wet wipes to facial serum – whispers “relaxation” and takes me to a place of zen. I also appreciate the simplicity of white packaging that lets the products speak for themselves. This is the kind of beauty you can feel good about, just like one does after a yoga class.

WHERE TO BUY: YUNI line is available on YUNIbeauty.com, at YogaWorks, Credo Beauty, and other natural beauty retailers, select yoga studios, and healthy living retailers across the US.
