Weekly Favorites #20

Been a while since my last Weekly Favorites post, mostly because I felt like there wasn’t really anything worth sharing. Today my picks won’t be surprising either, but I figured we went long enough without a faves roundup, I even started to miss writing them 🙂

Weekly Favorites #20: Find out what beauty products are trending in my weekly rotation. >> http://bit.ly/1GmmeCO | via @glamorableMy tiny jar of Tatcha Soothing Silk Body Butter [reviewed here] is almost empty now. I’ve been stretching it for months and applying to particularly dry or irritated spots and it really helped soothe and moisturize the skin without the stickiness. It’s called a butter, but it actually feels feathery and lightweight, like a sheet of silk on the skin, if that makes sense. I plan to buy the full-sized jar when the cold weather returns.

theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer has been my highlighter of choice for many years, since I first discovered it in my Birchbox. I use it to highlight the cheekbones, brow bone, cupid’s bow, and collarbones to give my skin that healthy glow from within. It’s also great as a pop of shimmer over dark or matte eye shadows.

Over the past few months, Michael Todd Soniclear [reviewed here] replaced all of my other sonic cleansing brushes, and now I use it exclusively. It’s just gentler and feels better on the skin than other brushes I own, so there’s never a need to switch things up.

I can always trust Hourglass Cosmetics Ambient Lighting Powder [reviewed here] to make my skin look perfect. It’s just one of those things you don’t really notice, until someone suddenly mentions that your skin looks great. These powders are very finely milled, so they won’t ever look cakey or stand out on the skin in any way.

I managed to find the perfect shade of tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer, which is hard to do because I have all kinds of weird undertones in addition to being very pale. I like that it comes in a form of a highly concentrated paste, so I need to use very little to achieve perfectly full coverage. By the way, I use Ricky’s Paintbrush #15 [reviewed here] to buff it in my problem spots, when fingers and flat brushes only smudge stuff around. Works like a charm!
