Baby, it’s cold outside, but your skin doesn’t have to reflect that! For those of you who love to sport beautiful sun-kissed glow all year round, Vita Liberata created Trystal Minerals Self-Tanning Bronzing Minerals and Self Tanning Night Moisture Mask that will add warmth and definition to the skin without much effort.
Vita Liberata Self Tanning Night Moisture Mask is a multi-action treatment that delivers anti-aging benefits overnight and golden complexion by morning. After trying it for a month, I think this is the perfect self-tanner for my fair skin! This mask has luxuriously creamy texture that glides over the skin like butter and feels nothing like your usual self-tanner.
While it doesn’t make my face dark overnight, Self Tanning Night Moisture Mask adds a subtle tint that builds up the intensity every day. I have to note that the color develops slowly and gradually, and will probably be the most noticeable on fair and light complexions. Medium and deep skin tones will most likely see no change, although I think it might give the complexion a slightly more even appearance.
If you are not a fan of the traditional leave-on self-tanners, how about makeup? Vita Liberata Trystal Minerals Self-Tanning Bronzing Minerals come in the form of a loose powder bronzer accompanied by a luxurious kabuki brush with beautiful rose gold ferrule. The brush is densely packed with silky soft bristles, ensuring precise application and perfectly blended out edges.
For me that’s a whole new concept! I had no idea that self-tanners even came in powder form. Since I use bronzer every day anyway, I figured that swapping mine for Trystal Minerals Self-Tanning Bronzing Minerals would be a good idea, and it was! On me the effect was subtle, but it was definitely there. It’s like I still had some contouring on even after I took off my makeup, which made my face look visually slimmer.
At the time of this review this powder comes in one universal shade – No. 2 Bronze – which is suitable for fair, light, and medium complexions. I’m afraid it won’t do much for deep-skinned ladies out there, but I think it might still work as a natural-looking blush.
Swatch reference: My skin tone is between MAC NC15 and NW15 with yellowish hue and neutral undertones. Sometimes I can wear NW20 in the Summer. I thought this would be useful to know, since all screens show colors differently, and I also don’t have a studio setup with consistent lighting. Hope that helps!
If you are on the lookout for a subtle gradual self-tanner and are fairly open-minded about trying out of the box products, these two will be a good place to start. Explore the full range of Vita Liberata products at vitaliberata.com.

that brush is everything!!! I’m a total brush fanatic.
That brush is quality, girl! It’s probably the best kabuki brush i currently own.
I’m not a self-tanning type but I love that fluffy brush 😍
Me neither, but both of these products add a little color without making us pale girls look orange.
I LOVE Vita Liberata. My fave self tanner brand for sure!
Awesome! It’s quickly getting up there for me, too 🙂
The bronzing minerals powder and the brush have my heart for the packaging itself!
I agree, the packaging is absolutely brilliant, as is the concept.
I have never heard of this brand before, but that brush looks great!
It’s a very high quality brush that I’ve been using for my cheeks lately. And the bronzing powder has a lovely warm color!
I love the VL Bronzing powder. I think it’s genius! I had a breakout from the tanning mask (but it’s such a good idea!), but I use it for the backs of my hands for a light tan. The brush is fabulous too!
I agree, what a clever concept! It’s like a self-tanner for those who hate self-tanners. The brush is seriously amazing, I’d pay $$ for that alone <3
My blog partner is the self tanner for us. Her skin is perfect for it. She’s going to review the mask and we’re giving away the powder when she does (she has it already).
That’s great! Can’t wait to read about her experience with the mask, I hope she likes it as much as I did.
I like the VL tanner. I’d love to try that bronzer!
Glad to hear that you like it, too, Erika. As a fellow fair-skinned girl I was a little hesitant, because most self-tanners end up looking too dark. These two were just perfect though.
That brush is so pretty
I agree, it’s gorgeous! It looks like it’s well-made, too, and who can resist that stunning rose gold ferrule? 🙂
Wow – that bronzer looks like something I would enjoy. I have seen this brand in a magazine but this is the first reading about it. Awesome.
I love the concept of a self-tanning bronzer, and the color is beautiful!
It looks so pretty! I like that it’s subtle.
I agree, it’s perfect that the effect is so subtle for us fair-skinned girls!
If you use bronzer daily anyway, these bronzing minerals seem like a good idea – makeup bronze and then some tan afterwards, right where you want it!
I agree, it’s a splendid idea! And I love that you can sort of pack it on and softly blend it out, so when it actually tans the skin you aren’t left with rough edges. I’m seriously loving that bronzer!
