At this point probably most of us heard about Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb fragrance, and rightfully so. This scent became iconic over the years, inspiring countless beauty products, men’s spinoff Spicebomb, and Limited Editions. To celebrate Flowerbomb’s 10th Anniversary Viktor & Rolf created this special gift set [no longer available], filled with 10 travel-sized bottles commemorating its 10-year journey to success.
A floral explosion, a profusion of flowers that makes everything more positive. Viktor&Rolf designed a bottle cut like a multi-faceted diamond for their fragrance. Full-bodied and opulent, the Eau de Parfum explodes in a bouquet of sensations with its addictive floral notes which leave their trail, like a whirlwind that is distinctly couture. – Viktor & Rolf
I remember reading a fashion magazine and getting enchanted with the ad page, although at the time my scent palate wasn’t refined enough to truly understand this bouquet. Didn’t stop me from wanting to buy it just for the bottle alone though! Designed by Fabien Baron [best known for his work as editorial director of Andy Warhol’s Interview magazine], that diamond-shaped grenade is now forever recognizable even by those who never sniffed the fragrance itself.
For those unfamiliar with Flowerbomb, it’s a bright, explosive musky oriental that will suit someone who loves strong, sophisticated, and complex scents [like yours truly!]. There is a nice mix of bitter citrusy and floral notes, with a well-balanced musky base.
- Top notes: Bergamot and Green Tea.
- Middle notes: Sambac Jasmine, Centifolia Rose, Freesia, and Cattleya Orchid.
- Base notes: Musk and Patchouli.
Thinking about picking up Flowerbomb? Sephora and Nordstrom currently have several beautiful Christmas sets available in all price ranges, including one that looks like a snow globe. Now that would be a gorgeous gift for a fragrance collector!

Can’t believe it’s 10 years! What a cute anniversary set with mini-bombs! Frederic Malle just came out with a 15 year anniversary “coffret” with all 20 of his scents for about $600. I’m dying for it
I know, right? Time flies! I still remember when it first came out and I wanted to buy a bottle just because I liked the ad insert in the magazine.
I adore Flowerbomb. It has become one of my all time favorite fragrances.
While it’s not my all-time favorite fragrance, I still really enjoy wearing it when the mood strikes, because it carries many fond memories 🙂
I’mm not one for floral scents but I’m loving the bottle.
I love the design as well, it’s perfect for the explosive fragrance inside.
Gorgeous set, I will have to look for the brand in store so I can see what the scents are like.
Let me know what you think!
Pretty bottle!
It’s very lovely, isn’t it?
I purchased Flowerbomb for my sister. At first, I didn’t like it for myself, but after smelling it on her, I fell in-love. For myself, I love Spicebomb yumm! Great post.
Thank you Kim! I like both Flowerbomb and Spicebomb, they are perfect for different moods.
Flowerbomb is my FAVORITE scent ever!
Glad to hear that! It was the first sophisticated fragrance I loved after I graduated from my juvenile scent phase.
The bottle is really cute. I’m not a fan of patchouli as a scent note though.
When I worked at Ulta people always came in to ask about Flowerbomb.
How interesting! I can see why this fragrance would be so popular, since the scent is just heavenly.
I don’t think I’ve ever smelled this, but the bottle is gorgeous. Are all 10 the same fragrance, or the different version of Flowerbomb? The packaging is so cool.
This is a collector’s edition set, so all of the bottles inside are the minis of the original Flowerbomb.
I have had sample vials of this perfume and love it… but I love the packaging so much as well. I would love to have at least one of these gorgeous minis to put on my vanity and make myself smell wonderful 🙂
Those minis are so adorable, aren’t they? I love that they feature similar design to the full-sized bottle.
I’ve never tried it and now you made me curious and I want to try it!
Next time you are at Sephora give it a whiff!
I got a few sample vials of Flowerbomb but have not tried them. I need to dig them out and sniff – the perfume sounds perfect for me!
You definitely have to try it! Flowerbomb is a fantastic fragrance 🙂
Wow, shows how much I know! I thought the fragrance was relatively new. It’s just a leeeeetle too flowery for me but definitely a pretty scent!
I find it fascinating that fragrances are so unique and can smell different on everyone! My sister’s body chemistry doesn’t get along well with this scent, it turns too musky on her, and on me it’s more spicy than floral.
This looks amazing ! I am obsessed with the packaging!
Me, too! The design is so clever, and goes perfectly with the name and explosive contents inside.
The packaging is gorgeous. Still love that scent!
It’s a beautiful scent, and my first complex fragrance after years of drowning in sugar sweet body sprays from BBW and VS.
One of my absolute favorites!
Mine, too! This fragrance is amazing 🙂
