The famous and much anticipated Ulta 21 Days of Beauty event is right around the corner, so I thought I’d share some of my sale picks with you. This year there are so many awesome deals, that I was having trouble narrowing down my list!
Every time I see highly discounted Urban Decay products, they get instant wishlist/shopping list status, like this Naked Skin Beauty Balm that will be on sale for $17 instead of the usual $34. What a deal! I had my eyes set on this one for a while after reading several blogger reviews mentioning that it works amazingly well as a makeup primer, providing a good base that liquid foundation adheres to surprisingly well, and adding that glow from within effect. Those of you that already own this BB cream, have you tried this trick?
Another long-time favorite of mine – NeoStrata’s Exuviance brand. Their products have been among my beauty staples for many years and my go-to for anything AHA-related. This brand literally invented and popularized glycolic peels!
Right now my routine includes two of their products: Sheer Daily Protector SPF 50 and Performance Peel AP25. Both are absolutely amazing and do wonders for my skin – reduce fine lines, hyper-pigmentation [thanks, summer!], and even help keep breakouts at bay. Next up – none other than Laura Geller aka the Queen of baked cosmetics. You will probably agree with me on this one, but baked formulas are very often chalky, dry, and poorly pigmented, however, Laura Geller uses some kind of fairy magic, because her baked blushes, highlighters, and foundations never disappoint and are pigmented to boot.
If you are looking to try something from the brand, Balance-n-Brighten Baked Color Correcting Foundation will be on sale for $20 instead of $33. I use this pressed foundation as a setting power over sheer liquid foundations to add more coverage without overloading my combination skin with oils and heavy formulas. It’s perfect for humid environments!
My final pick you may have already tried before, especially if you subscribe to monthly beauty sampling programs like Birchbox or Ipsy. Skyn ICELAND Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels are some of the most effective depuffers and instant line reducers I’ve tried so far, and they don’t slide all over your face like liquid-soaked hydrogel eye masks.
