I’ve seen reviews of The Jojoba Company products on several beauty blogs I follow, and they were all positive. Considering that the brand is from Australia, I never thought that I could get my hands on a sample to try. Well, good news you guys! Not only are their products super affordable, the company offers free worldwide shipping to US and Canada if your order qualifies.
I had the opportunity to try The Jojoba Company 100% Natural Jojoba + Rosehip Oil [$24.45 for 1 oz, available here], a type of serum oil blend designed to work for all skin types. If you remember my blog post on the best beauty oils, jojoba oil is a well-balanced wax ester that works perfectly for any skin or hair concern, and can be easily blended with your other products to enhance their potency.
WHY JOJOBA?
Jojoba has unique molecular composition that mimics human skin, which is one reason why it’s so easily absorbed without leaving a sticky layer. The skin recognizes jojoba oil as its own, so it opens up the pores and absorbs the oil plus everything mixed with it. It then carries the active ingredients down into the deeper layers, which is the main reason why people see such drastic results after using jojoba oil. The oil contains vitamins A, D & E and omega 6 & 9 fatty acids that are essential for healthy moisture levels. If your skin’s protective barrier is ever compromised from over exfoliating, dehydration, or breakouts, jojoba oil will help repair it faster and even help soothe the irritation.
The image above pretty much sums it up. No matter your skin type, you will love it!
Random fact: The Jojoba Company grows their jojoba in Australia on their private farm as a sustainable, carbon negative crop that gives back to the planet to make a difference. Because jojoba trees don’t require birds or insects for pollination, the plantations are made up of thousands of female jojoba shrubs with every seventeenth shrub being male.
WHY ROSEHIP?
Rosehip oil is a champion among antioxidants, and contains high concentration of Vitamin A, which you probably know by its other name – retinol. That’s right, rosehip oil is an anti-aging moisturizer that will brighten the skin and reduce the depth of fine lines and wrinkles naturally, so if you aren’t using it already now’s a good time to start! Rosehip also contains omega 3, 6 & 9 fatty acids that deliver moisture and vital nutrients to the skin when used with jojoba as the carrier oil.
As a general tip, if you find this oil too heavy [some skin types don’t tolerate rosehip oil well], don’t use it on its own and mix in with your regular moisturizer or serum instead. Diluted, rosehip oil delivers the same amazing skin benefits, so anything that helps deliver it into the deeper layers will only work in your favor.
ABOUT THE SERUM:
The Jojoba Company 100% Natural Jojoba + Rosehip Oil is advertised as a superfood for the skin. With only two ingredients, this simple formula is perhaps more potent than some conventional lab-made skincare, thanks to jojoba and rosehip’s unique molecular composition. This natural multi-purpose moisturizer has the ability to fade scars and diminish stretch marks due to its high Vitamin A content.
“This serum combines the carrying benefits of 100% Natural Jojoba with Rosehip Oil to deliver nutrients to the deeper layers of the skin where Rosehip Oil is unable to go by itself. Essentially, it makes Rosehip Oil work even better!”
HOW TO USE:
There are dozens of ways to use this serum!
1 // Mix a few drops into your favorite moisturizer for added benefits.
2 // Add 2-3 full droppers to your shampoo and conditioner for some serious shine.
3 // Massage a full dropper into your scalp and leave overnight to soothe itchiness.
4 // Warm up 2-3 drops between your fingertips and gently press into damp skin to get that dewy healthy glow.
5 // Apply directly to stretch marks and massage in until fully absorbed.
I personally prefer the fourth method to get the most benefits, but this list just shows how versatile this product really is.
MY THOUGHTS:
First of all, I am obsessed with the packaging and the overall presentation. The outer box is a little work of art and looks like some kind of origami masterpiece. The bottle is sleek and reminds me of fancy packaging of su:m 37, a luxury Korean skincare brand that I am hoping to try some day. The serum has a faint nutty fragrance, so pretty much it smells like nothing once absorbed into the skin. It worked great as an extra boost of hydration in the morning, but I especially loved using it as part of my PM beauty routine. Sometimes my face gets dry and irritated after makeup removal, and The Jojoba Company 100% Natural Jojoba + Rosehip Oil rebalanced it right away, soothing the redness and returning my skin that healthy radiant glow.
Overall, I couldn’t recommend this blend enough! It’s natural and it feels amazing, plus the price point makes it an affordable alternative to other expensive serum oils from department store brands. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t discriminate products based on the price as there’s a market for everything, but this serum is right up there with the best of them and I like it just as much as my other favorite oil.

I remember reading about this company too. Your post was informative & fascinating! Sounds like a must have. I need it!
Thank you Allison! Glad I could provide some useful info 🙂
I am so intrigued by this.
I know the feeling 😉 I always have googly eyes when I read skincare reviews – too many great products out there and I only have one face.
I’ve got two of their oils and love them. They are so pure and trustworthy.
Great to know you like this brand, too, Marcia! Which oils do you have? I’m looking to try something else from this brand but they have so many products!
I haven’t tried this brand, but I love jojoba and rosehip oils. Sometimes, I find rosehip to have a strong smell, so I’m glad this one doesn’t.
I know what you mean, I have a bottle of pure rosehip oil and it almost smells like fish oil to me. This one doesn’t have that smell, so I was especially happy about that.
I use Jojoba Oil, Rosehip, Argan and Coconut oil consistently so this product intrigues me. I haven’t used any from this brand but I surely am going to bookmark this and check it out. I love the packaging – love me some purple.
Girl, you’re the oil queen! You should definitely write a blog post about the oils you use.
This sounds great. I know jojoba oil is great for sensitive skin.
I can see how it would be great for sensitive skin – it’s so gentle!
I am a big fan of jojoba oil, it’s been great to use around my cuticles to help stimulate nail growth and keep my nails feeling moisturized.
What a great use for it! I need to try that, because my nails have been in a pitiful state this winter.
the bottle and the packaging is so pretty
Agreed, I love this company’s packaging.
This sounds absolutely delightful!
It’s a great serum-oil for any skin type!
I must have this for my dry skin. Love the packaging too!
The packaging is beautiful!
