POPSUGAR Must Have March 2015

March box will be my last POPSUGAR Must Have box for a while, so I was really hoping that it’s an awesome one. Let’s see if it lived up to my expectations! P.S.: There were five things that inspired the March box – Renewal. Citrus. Spring Break. Fresh. Traveling.

POPSUGAR Must Have March 2015 Unboxing & ReviewHOW TO USE: With POPSUGAR Must Have, you’ll get an exciting monthly box, full of hand-selected items from POPSUGAR editors. POPSUGAR Must Have March 2015 Unboxing & ReviewBliss Micromagic Microdermabrasion Treatment – I’m not that familiar with bliss, although my sister loves their foaming cleanser. First thing that stood out to me is the volume – by looking at the packaging you’d never guess this is a facial scrub, you would think this is probably a body product, because the tube is just so big. It exfoliates with help of volcanic pumice instead of plastic beads, which I appreciate, but lava dust is very abrasive, so if you plan to use this treatment, make sure your motions are extra gentle. I think I’ll just pass it on to my sis though, because after inspecting the list of ingredients I discovered cordyceps sinensis extract pretty high up, and it gave me creepy crawly feeling that I couldn’t shake off [click here if you want to know what it is]. I know I’m probably being ridiculous, considering I slather products with snail slime all over, but something about that parasitic fungus extract is just making me cringe on the inside.

POPSUGAR Must Have March 2015 Unboxing & ReviewGreenmarket Purveying Co. The Archivist Lemon + Cucumber Reed Diffuser Kit – This reed diffused smells like spring, very fresh and airy. Did you know that when combined together cucumber and citrus smell like melon? Needless to say, but I’m enjoying my new living room fragrance so far.

POPSUGAR Must Have March 2015 Unboxing & ReviewSamudra Pink Pina Zip Pouch – Oh dear, where do I even begin… This pouch looks so cheap, like something you’d find at a dollar store, with messed up prints and smudged letters. I have no problem with dollar store products, but POPSUGAR claims this thing is worth $40. Nope, not a chance. I still plan to use it as my beach pouch, but mostly because it’s a good size to fit all of the necessities, like multiple bottles of sunscreen and hairspray with SPF. Although, a gallon freezer bag would have probably worked just as well… Not happy about this one, not at all 🙁

POPSUGAR Must Have March 2015 Unboxing & ReviewKnock Knock What To Pack Pad – I do love the idea of this tear-off pre-filled pad, because it has some pretty good packing suggestions. However, even during my jet-setting days I traveled maybe 5-6 times a year at most, and this pad has like 50 pages in it at least. Weekend vacations don’t count because honestly nobody really needs a comprehensive list of things to pack when leaving for 2 days, Seriously, how many people travel so much that they need a pad like this? I just don’t think POPSUGAR thought this one through.

POPSUGAR Must Have March 2015 Unboxing & ReviewWet Brush The Squirt – Suggestive name aside, this brush is actually a great addition to my hair care stash. I’ve been a big fan of the original Wet Brush and even repurchased it a couple times, so having a small one to carry around in my purse is perfect.

POPSUGAR Must Have March 2015 Unboxing & ReviewHalfpops Halfpopped Popcorn – When I first showed this to my husband, he said “Who would want to eat half popped popcorn??” What can I say, he can be pretty conservative when it comes to food, but I have to agree with him here, because every bite was accompanied with a scary loud crunch, making me worry that I just might chip a tooth on these if I’m not careful. Also, cleaning out the spaces between my teeth from kernel bits was kind of annoying, so I suppose I’ll stick to my regular fully-popped popcorn in the future. Bummer, because the seasoning was actually delicious!

POPSUGAR Must Have March 2015 Unboxing & ReviewBenefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Mascara & POREfessional Samples – This duo was a little extra gift thrown in, but I was happier about it than I was about most of this box. I don’t care for POREfessional, but Roller Lash mascara is one of my new favorites, and this sample will come in handy.

unnamed10437445_680274665410606_7853448001177388925_nTHE VERDICT: I’m trying to be positive, because this is my last POPSUGAR box in a while, but I just can’t help thinking what a waste of money this was. They can’t all be winners, and occasional disappointments are to be expected when taking a gamble, but this was just kind of a sad box. Sure, some products were pretty nice, but when I look at this bundle as a whole, it leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I hope those of you who are getting the May box [spoiler picture above, April is sold out] will receive something really fun, because the quota for fail has been met right here for months ahead, haha 😉 That Kitsch necklace alone looks super cool already! So yeah, if you want to subscribe for May, I would really appreciate if you used my referral link so that I could hopefully get a free box at some point. Thanks bunches!
