I’ve already written about Perlier products in the past, and really loved everything I tried. The Shea Butter line is especially noteworthy for people of all skin types, except for oily.
This time I’m reviewing a totally different product, which is unlike any other body lotion out there that I know of. Perlier Lemon Crackling Body Water is a unique cooling water mist-spray-jelly with a crisp lemon fragrance, and it’s quite possibly the most fun beauty product I’ve ever played with.
“It’s summertime. You’re sweltering. All you want is a cool, refreshing sorbet. How about indulging in a little sorbet sweetness — for your skin? Exuding an exhilarating scent, this granita is the perfect summertime skincare refreshment. “
When you first put it on, it instantly starts fizzing and crackling, like your skin is having a party and there are fireworks involved. It’s really fun to look at, and even more fun to watch my husband’s face because he thinks I’m melting my skin off.
When you decide you had enough fun watching the “fireworks” and scaring your significant other/dog/cat/kid/parents, you may proceed to spreading the lotion all over the body parts you applied it to. It spreads very easily and absorbs almost instantly, leaving a very clean and cool sensation on the skin without any residue or stickiness.
The ingredient list is nothing to look at, a bunch of chemicals and hard-to-pronounce words, which is something I normally have low tolerance for, but this time it’s different. Did I mention fireworks?

The verdict: This is an awesome product, and I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to try something different and new this summer. It’s fairly expensive for what it is, but it would make a great fun gift for that one “girl that got it all” in your life, she’ll thank you for it!
