Ofra Tinsel Town Sparklights Trio Set (swatches & review)

Ofra Tinsel Town Sparklights Trio Set (swatches & review)

I had no plans to review this set on the blog and quietly been using it for many months after sharing my initial thoughts on Instagram. It’s already almost April and I’m still kind of obsessed with each shade, and for some reason, this trio is still available on Ofra website. I took it as a sign that the world must be told about the beauty of these unique Ofra highlighters in a more permanent manner than a fleeting social media shoutout.

I don’t remember when Ofra Tinsel Town Sparklights Trio Set ($35) was originally launched, but it was some time around the holidays. It looks like a palette, but actually those are three individual highlighters sitting side by side in a palette-sized rectangular box. Ofra calls them “toppers” to differentiate them from their regular highlighters, but they are made using the same liquid-to-baked technology that helps reduce fallout and prevents the pans from getting dusty. You also end up wasting less product as a result; just imagine how many more uses you could have out of your favorite powder products if they didn’t kick up so much dust! These cool-toned icy shimmers can work in multiple ways: Ofra designed them to be used on the lids, cheeks, and lips as toppers to enhance your regular makeup. However, I think they work just fine on their own even without other products underneath.

The set includes three icy shades:

  • Chill (lavender ice)
  • Glisten (pearly white ice)
  • Iced (pink magenta ice)

Ingredients: Talc, Zinc Stearate, 2-Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexyglycerin. May Contain +/-: Mica, CI77891, CI77891, CI15850, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, Tin Oxide.

The colors are stunning and these swatches don’t do them justice at all. They are so shimmery and reflective, so they catch even the faintest rays of light! If you like to sparkle even in the dim lighting, these babies are where it’s at. Also, Ofra wasn’t kidding when they said these glitters aren’t messy – there’s virtually no fallout, and practically no dust clouds; you have to try real hard to make a mess with them. As someone who would wear glitter more often if only it wasn’t such a pain to deal with, I found my sweet spot with this trio.

I don’t know how much longer Ofra Tinsel Town Sparklights Trio Set is going to be available on the brand’s website, but if you are even remotely interested, you should grab it because it was supposed to be a limited edition release. I’m guessing, once the stork runs out, they will be out for good.

Do you wear sparkly makeup? What’s your least favorite thing about glitter?
