It’s been literally years since I last bought a NewBeauty TestTube, but I have only fond memories of my experience. A lot has changed after all this time, so it’s almost like a whole new program now. Today I wanted to show you what subscribers will receive in May, so you all still have time to decide if you would like to subscribe. Spoiler alert: I’m in love with the products!
HOW IT WORKS: Six times a year NewBeauty curates “tubes” filled with seasonal beauty must-haves that you can get for $29.95 + shipping. Each tube includes a mix of full-sized and travel-sized products from well-known brands like Moroccanoil, SkinCeuticals, NeoStrata, Dr. Brandt and others… Click here to check it out.

Dr. Brandt Skincare Needles No More – I’m not going to discuss the recent news about Dr. Brandt himself, after all his amazing line of skin care products is a wonderful legacy to leave behind. I currently use his Pores No More primer religiously, because it’s just the best primer ever for my combination skin with oversized pores. As you have probably guessed from the name, Needles No More is an anti-aging treatment, more specifically, it’s a temporary wrinkle relaxer, which works similar to botox. I tried products with snake venom, and syn-ake [synthetic venom] that produced the same effect, so I know from experience that this stuff actually works. It won’t make the lines disappear, but it will smooth them enough to take years off your face for a few hours, while making sure you can still smile.
Lids By Design – These lid stickers are designed for hooded eyes, swollen skin, and monolids, to give the eyes a more awake look. I don’t know how I feel about the whole changing the monolid thing, because I think they are beautiful and make people look very unique, but on those days when I eat too many salty snacks before bed and wake up with swollen eyes these could be useful. Have you ever seen those Japanese makeup tutorials? I swear, 90% of those girls use similar stickers to make their eyes look bigger, but I’m not here to judge – do whatever makes you feel beautiful <3
It’s a 10 Silk Express Miracle Leave-In – If you read beauty blogs on the daily, you probably saw It’s a 10 products mentioned dozens of times, and rightfully so. This affordable line performs as well as fancy salon hair care at a fraction of a cost, and their leave-in spray is an absolute hit with everyone I know. Smells so good, too!
Tan Towel Combo Pack – I don’t use self-tanners, only bronzer, but this kit has everything to help achieve that highly coveted bronzed skin if you’re into that. There are four single-use products in the pack: one exfoliating towelette that preps the skin for self-tanner, one Classic self-tan towelette for fair to medium skin tones, one Plus self-tan towelette for medium to deep skin tones, and of course, a small towelette for the face, because it’s always nice when your face matches your body, right? 🙂 My sister is a permanently bronzed goddess and she will love these [I’m about to see her this weekend].
Patchology Hydrate FlashMasque – Five minutes from rough to silky, that’s what it feels like when I use moisturizing sheet masks. Asian women use them every day, but in my experience 2-3 times a week is more than enough. According to Patchology, this mask is perfect for dry and dehydrated skin, because it’s soaked in nourishing solution that includes Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin B5, and Betaine. I also spotted grapefruit seed extract and yeast amino acids in the ingredient list, which both help brighten the complexion and reduce the appearance of post-acne scars and other discolorations.
Hada Labo Tokyo Replenishing Hydrator – I read quite a few reviews about Hada Labo products but never tried anything myself, so this is my perfect opportunity to try something new. The company says this lightweight moisturizer is actually supercharged with three types of hyaluronic acid, which helps plump the skin and push out fine lines caused by dryness and dehydration – I bet many of us have a few of those after another cold winter from all that dry indoor heating. I mean, I normally have combination skin, but right now my cheeks feel tight and uncomfortable, so I try to remedy that with products formulated for dry skin instead. You know what they say, don’t treat your skin’s type, treat your skin’s state.
glo therapeutics Gentle Cream Cleanser – Nice to see another familiar face in the bunch! I just wrote about their makeup line in another post, and today I finally had a chance to try their skin care. This gentle cleanser, formulated without dyes, fragrance, and parabens, is designed with sensitive skin in mind. The packaging says to apply it to the skin for 60 seconds, then rinse with warm water, and it will help melt off makeup and also soften and condition the skin. It’s a bit too gentle for my liking, because I use sunscreen every day and it can be hard to wash off with just cleansing milk alone, but I will definitely use it as the first step in my cleansing routine.
THE VERDICT: I’m over the moon with this box, it’s just as fabulous as I remember from years ago! There are so many winners here, it will be a very long paragraph if I list them all, and I also can’t really pick a favorite either. The only product I won’t actually be using is the Tan Towel pack, and even so it’s still a great tool for someone who loves sunless tanning, which is much safer than baking in the sun.
So what’s your verdict: how would you rate this box on the scale from 1 to 10? Have you tried any of these products before? Share your answers in the comments below!

The Patchology Hydrating mask sounds good.
I just used it earlier today – it’s soaked in moisturizing solution, but not to the point where it drips off your face. Really good mask!
I want to try that It’s a 10 spray
It’s one of my favorites! I like that it doesn’t weigh down fine hair.
What a great box. So many amazing products to try.
I think this is one of the best tubes they released lately.
That’s a lot of products in one box! I love Pores No More primer as well. Needles No More sounds like it works well.
It was so loaded with goodies, the lid could barely stay closed.
Wow! What a great bunch of goodies. I have seen tube opening videos and they are always packed with a lot of good stuff.
I always thought these tubes were a good deal 🙂
Great box. I haven’t purchased New Beauty Test Tubes in quite a while!
I looked up what past tubes were like right after I wrote this review 🙂 I haven’t gotten a tube since 2012!
I love It’s A 10 products. And, I used Dr. Brandt’s products when he first started on QVC. Very high quality and effective.
Good to know! I tried several of his products as samples, and so far only repurchased Pores No More, but they were all very nice.
I love the theme of this package!
Me, too! And knowing that all products were selected by beauty bloggers made it so much better 🙂
Great package. I love the Hada Labo hydrator, I bought a new one after I used up my first and that’s a rarity for me.
Good to know! I look forward to using it.
I am the perfect candidate for that lid miracle product, I have hooded eyes!
I tried it just for fun, and I gotta admit, these things look better than I thought. One of my lids is bigger than the other, so these stickers corrected the shape pretty well, and I could even apply makeup over them. I am surprisingly impressed with these.
I feel ya on those lid lifters. I’m getting hooded eyes due to age, and maybe I’ll be tempted to lift them, but I think monolids are beautiful in their own way. I wish that diversity was more accepted in the beauty and fashion world.
I agree, monolids look so nice, there’s something regal and mysterious about them. I’m all for diversity, everyone has their own unique beauty – it would be a boring world if everyone looked like clones.
well now that’s a cool package!
Right? It was pretty awesome!
This is such an awesome tube of goodies! Love the It’s a 10!
I am a big fan as well 🙂
I love Dr. Brandt products. Needles no more for SURE.
Cool! I look forward to using up my sample, it seems to be doing a good job as a smoothing primer 🙂 I have this tiny line on my forehead that gets accentuated with makeup, and this cream makes it invisible.
Love me some Hada Lada Tokyo 🙂 I used to have NB Testtube a long time ago when they first started and that is how I was introduced to Mally and Jane Iredale. I love their tubes.
Me too, I used to subscribe in 2012, but had to cancel because that’s a LOT of products. I’m happy to see they’re still rocking it!
Really awesome box this time around! wow!
I know, right? Really great selection of beauty products, and things I never even thought of trying before, like those eye stickers.
