When I first received an email announcing the arrival of the OMG box, I knew that instant that I had to get it. There are lots of things I still haven’t tried from mainstream makeup brands, but as far as skincare goes, I feel like I just might have seen it all. And that’s where Korean cosmetics come in! Memebox promised to include only the craziest and wonkiest inventions [that surprisingly work] that have been gaining popularity among Korean women lately. How could I resist that challenge? 🙂
HOW IT WORKS
Memebox Global is not a typical subscription service. They periodically curate boxes filled with assorted beauty products popular among Koreans, and those Limited Edition bundles are sold on first come first serve basis. Prices vary depending on the type of the box. Memebox ships internationally, so make sure to check on their website and see if they ship in your country – chances are they do. All themed boxes tend to sell out fast, so by the time you read this review this particular box might not be available for sale anymore.

SKINAZ The Kissable Lip 24H Lip Tattoo in Kiss Orange – When I first saw a video demo on how to use it, I seriously went “OMG”!! This product is perfect for this box, and I have never seen anything like it!
SKINAZ The Kissable Lip 24H Lip Tattoo in Kiss Orange |
It looks like your average tube of lip gloss, but it’s actually a lip stain. It’s used by applying a thick layer on the lips in areas where you want the stain to appear, then wait until that gel formula dries out, and peel it off to reveal natural-looking tint! That’s right, ladies, no more patchy uneven lip stains. This one provides perfect results even on my dry lips, and looks oh-so-pretty.
SKINAZ The Kissable Lip 24H Lip Tattoo in Kiss Orange – it actually looks pink on the lips! |
I seriously can’t recommend it enough! If you are looking for that perfect lip stain, this just might be what you need. I found some on eBay and at some sketchy online stores, but Memebox also sells these.
SKINAZ Premium Vitablet – What in the world is a vitablet? We know that Koreans love mashing words together, so this one is actually an offspring of “vitamin” and “tablet”. Each vitablet is enriched with Vitamin C and essential oils to provide relaxing experience.
SKINAZ Premium Vitablet |
I had to look up how to use this one, because I had no dea what to think of it. Last I heard, fizzies are to be used in the shower or bath, but these look too small for that. As it turns out, the tablets are used as a last step in cleansing routine, it’s like a pre-toner step. Memebox recommends dissolving 1 tablet in a bowl of water, and splashing your face with it. Each tablet contains 300g of Vitamin C, which is more than 4 lemons!
SKINAZ Premium Vitablet – the tablets look almost edible 🙂 |
So far I used these tablets three times, and I honestly don’t know if they did anything. Each vitablet smells like fruit loops, but once dissolved in water, the fragrance disappears. My skin didn’t feel any different but I’ll keep using them, because it’s fun 🙂
Ladykin Aqua Exfoliator For Body – You probably already tried or at least heard of those gels that attach to your dead skin cells and roll off in chunks, revealing even complexion. Well, this exfoliant is the same thing, just for the body.
Ladykin Aqua Exfoliator For Body |
It comes in a tall spray bottle, and the size actually makes it really easy to handle. Now, there are two kinds of gel exfoliators – those that work, and those that don’t, and unfortunately, I think this one is a dud. I tried good enzyme gel exfoliators before, and I know how my skin feels before and after using them, so I’m pretty sure this one is formulated to mimic the effect, but not actually provide it.
Ladykin Aqua Exfoliator For Body – little curds of “dead skin”, but I’m not convinced. |
Good exfoliators will not work on areas that you just treated, because there are no more dead cells to pick up. This one will crumble just as much, no matter how many times it’s applied… or what it’s applied to for that matter. Looks like my bathroom counter, sink, and shoe could use some skin sloughing… multiple times. Yeah, I have way too much time on my hands to test these things, lol! 🙂
Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask – A clay mask that bubbles? Now that’s a new one! I heard horror stories about people’s masks arriving exploded or leaked, so I’m glad mine seems to be intact.
Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask |
This mask is loaded with antioxidants from green tea and pomegranate extracts, and also offers deep cleansing properties, thanks to charcoal powder, while carbonated mineral water delivers nutrients deep into the pores, while gently pushing out the gunk. Unlike most clay masks, this one doesn’t harden, and so it feels a lot more comfortable on the skin. Did you know that carbonated masks and cleansers are ideal for removing BB creams and physical sunscreens from the skin?
Hope Girl Night Diva Gloss in 04 Pink Candy – While a lip gloss is not something I’d consider an “OMG” product, this one is still different enough. There were five different shades sent out and I received the baby pink one.

Two colors inside mix automatically and the resulting shade is very light, but it looks stunning over lip tint I mentioned in the beginning. The non-sticky formula wears well, and really seems to moisturize the lips. By the way, the tube features a mirror on the side and a little switch-on light to help apply lip gloss in the dark. Very convenient!
Pure Smile Oh! My Busty!? Bust Pack – Memeboxes rarely come without a sheet mask, but this one is something else! The picture totally gives away the contents, and as you might have guessed, it’s a bust mask.

There are three different steps to it. Step one is the gommage, aka scrub, and we all know that that does. Step two is a moisturizing hydrogel mask, that can be worn under a shirt.

After 10-15 minutes, take off the mask, and apply the step three nourishing and softening cream to make the area look supple and soft. Memebox says this is the ultimate treatment for achieving that beach-perfect body.
THE VERDICT
This box turned out to be more “WOW” than “OMG” to me, because even though not all products were shocking, most of them were still very surprising. My favorite product in the box would have to be that peel-off lip tint, I am seriously obsessed with it. Also, as it turned out, all of the products in OMG box were full-sized, so it was basically a Superbox. And to think I only paid $14.99 for it, using points and a promo code! I hope Memebox will release some sweet codes again soon so I can further fuel my obsession with Korean skincare 🙂
As always, the price breakdown below is more reasonable and closer to the truth than Memebox’s stated product values.

I wonder if the Lip Tattoo hurts at all when you pull it off though? C:

Pretty cool, right? 🙂 And no, lip tattoo doesn’t hurt at all, if anything, I think it tickles when I take it off.
