My nails didn’t exactly grow back yet, but I decided to resume the regular schedule of Mani Monday posts, even though it’s a little embarrassing to let you all see my nails in their current state. Currently, it’s been about two weeks since I broke them, and the growing out process seems to be moving painfully slow.
But, enough whining for now, because I’m presenting you this fabulous, gorgeous, fantastic color called Chyna from Zoya’s Pixie Dust collection – a crimson red silver sparkle with black undertones. As many of you know already, Pixie Dust is a textured nail polish collection from Zoya, similar to OPI’s Liquid Sand, but with much finer grains. Contrary to popular belief, these polishes don’t tug on sweaters or scratch the nylon stockings (tried and tested on both!) You are supposed to apply these either with no base coat, or with Zoya’s special base coat, and of course no top coat is necessary.
I am seriously in love with this color, it’s classy despite being very sparkly, and I got many compliments on it. The drying time was a bit slow, so I accidentally had a couple smudges here and there, but it must be something I did wrong, because a lot of people say that all Pixie Dusts dry super fast.
Disclosure: I bought this.
Do you know of a nail polish subscription box or anything of the like?
There are currently two great nail polish subscriptions: Julep Maven (http://www.julep.com/maven.html) and Square Hue (http://www.squarehue.com/). I’m not currently subscribed to either one of them, but I have tried Julep polishes in the past and they are alright 🙂
