Mani Monday: Color Club “Style Icon”

If you remember I received two Color Club polishes in my Wantable box that I won from MakeupTalk.com forums a little bit ago. They were closed so well that I was unable to open them at all, no matter how much I tried. I decided to try again after soaking the bottles in hot water for a bit and finally managed to open both. Style Icon was one of those polishes, and this shade is from Color Club’s In True Fashion-2012 Fall Collection.

I usually always have problems with CC polishes: they either streak or bubble or chip fast, but this one actually left a very good first impression. Style Icon is a gorgeous “oxblood”-like fall color and it looks great with my pale skin. You only need one-two thin coats for full opacity. I accidentally sliced off a chunk of polish on my thumb while cooking, and applied a KISS Nail Dress sticker on it instead of repainting the whole thing. So yeah, this “accent nail” was not intended at all 🙂

Off topic: I hope you don’t mind that I skipped Sample Saturday last week. Truth is, I actually didn’t have time to sample anything new because of all the Christmas preparations and work. I still have many sample bundles left to try, probably enough for several months’ worth of Sample Saturday posts 🙂
