And here we have two LUSH Christmas classics – Rose Jam and Snow Fairy liquid body washes. Both of these Limited Edition body treats are only available during the Holiday season, and fellow lushies go wild for them. I personally like Rose Jam more than Snow Fairy, so I bought them in different sizes.
Rose Jam is a great option for anybody that loves rose-scented products [like me!]. LUSH describes it as “a decadent, rosy shower gel made with vanilla pod infusion, goji berry juice and nourishing argan oil” with notes of rose absolute and lemon. To me personally it smells exactly like rose-scented turkish delight, you know, not the type that looks like nougat, but the clear ones, which usually contain rosewater. It has that sweet fragrance mixed in with the bitterness of the rose, and hints of honey, citrus, and a smidge of vanilla. Basically, it’s a very “edible” rose, so I love that LUSH creatively called it rose jam.
As far as its moisturizing properties go, even though this body wash contains sulfates, the amount of argan oil and other moisturizing ingredients outweighs the harshness of the surfactant, so my skin doesn’t feel dry and flaky afterward. This is not the case with all LUSH body washes by the way, but this one has a well-balanced formula. Despite being strong straight out of the bottle and during the shower time, the fragrance doesn’t linger on the skin at all. I personally kinda wish it did because I like the scent a lot, but some people consider that a good thing, because that way it won’t interfere with their perfume.
Snow Fairy is another iconic body wash from Christmas collection, and it smells like fluffy cotton candy with sugar sprinkles on top. Another fun part is the glitter included in the formula; don’t be alarmed though, because it washes off completely and doesn’t leave a trace on the skin. Now, you better love the scent of cotton candy, because this one is going to stay with you for hours! From the negatives I got to mention that it left my skin feeling a little dry, so I would recommend using a body lotion right after showering while the skin is still wet, that way the lotion will seal in more moisture and also spread better.
