[OVER] LAC Taut Premium Collagen Mask Review and Giveaway

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I was just talking about the importance of facial sheet masks in another blog post, and today I’m sharing my thoughts on LAC Taut Premium Collagen Mask. Just like standard tube or jar masks, the sheet masks vary by type: there are whitening, exfoliating, clarifying, detoxifying, moisturizing, lifting and other varieties to choose from.

LAC Taut Premium Collagen Mask – instructions

LAC Taut Premium Collagen Mask – size. It’s huge!!

LAC Taut Premium Collagen Mask is specifically formulated to target sagging, dehydrated and dull-looking skin by utilizing the proprietary blend of hydrolyzed collagen, botanical squalene, hyaluronic acid and anti-oxidants. As most sheet masks, this one is applied to clean dry skin, and left for 10-15 minutes. After the time is up, we discard the sheet and gently massage the leftover essence into the skin. There will be some liquid left in the pack, which should be used to moisturize the neck and decolletage area.

There was something that stood out to me about these masks – their size. These sheets are probably the biggest I’ve ever seen, so people with bigger faces will quite enjoy using them. As for me, I had to fold it several times around the edges of my face to make sure it fits correctly.

The good thing about sheet masks is the instant effect, and LAC Taut Premium Collagen Mask provided my skin with instant moisture, and made it look brighter [thanks to vitamin C in the formula] and plumper, reducing my laugh lines to nothing. The effect, however, was temporary, and several hours later they reappeared again. LAC recommends using these masks at least 2-3 times a week to slow the formation of new lines, as well as diminish the appearance of the existing ones. To ensure long-lasting effect, they also recommend taking collagen shots to boost your skin from inside out.

THE VERDICT
LAC Taut Premium Collagen Mask provides my skin with instant cooling, lifting, brightening and firming effect, however the line-reducing result is temporary, unless you can commit to using them regularly. These masks are a great pick-me-up for the skin after it experienced severe dryness or stress, because they restore the vitality and radiance in as low as 15 minutes.

Ooh – I want to try this. I like when masks offer a quick pick me up but hate when the results are temporary. I feel that I just don’t use them enough to keep up with the results it offered and it drives me nuts.

    • April 18, 2014 / 7:51 am

Hi Honey — Unfortunately that’s the sad reality of skincare, we have to use it religiously to see any results, and as soon as we stop, most of it just goes away.

  10. April 16, 2014 / 5:05 pm

Sounds like it would be great before an event.

    • April 18, 2014 / 7:52 am

Would be kinda cool to do before getting pictures done, or a night out. Get rid of those lines for a few hours. I’m not ready for collagen shots!

    • April 18, 2014 / 8:04 am

Hi Nidia — Yep, those are some of the best uses for these masks! I’m not too sure about those shots either, but I believe those are targeted at an older demographic.
