Alrighty, I think I’m on pace to catch up with all my September box reviews within the next few days, and today I’m sharing the contents of my Ipsy Glam Bag. This month our theme is Street Style, but [for the first time in over a year] after looking at the full list of products I’m not sure how they relate.
HOW IT WORKS

Nourish Organic Moisturizing Cream Face Cleanser – Nourish Organic products are usually either a hit or a miss for me, and this one was unfortunately a miss. The formula is very watery, and left my face feeling dirtier than it was. I was also not a huge fan of the fragrance, it reminded me of … seafood??? I don’t think I can continue using this cleanser any longer, but at least it was nice to try something new.
Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask – Finally! This mask was already sampled in a previous Ipsy bag, and I really wanted to get it that month, but received a different product instead. Now that I have it in my hands, I used it that same day in the shower, and concluded that I really like it a lot. I admit, it doesn’t compare to my all-time-favorite [this one from Gloss Moderne], but it worked remarkably well to detanglemy hair.
Pacifica Natural Water-Proof Eye Pencil in Fringe – Remember yesterday I complained about receiving too much Alterna? Well, Pacifica is one brand I don’t mind getting swarmed with, because I adore their mission, products, ingredients, and packaging. These eye pencils contain jojoba oil, shea butter, and vitamins C and E, so the formula is not only fabulously creamy, it also cares for the skin. One con though, I felt like this pencil smudges way too easily.
CAILYN Art Touch Tinted Lip Gloss in Love Affair – Love Affair is best described as cool wine red, and the color just screams “Fall”. This shade is a bit too dark for me, so I’m saving it as a little gift to my aunt who loves wearing deep colors like that.
Crown Brush Infinity Shadow/Crease Duet Brush – Makeup brushes are probably some of my favorite products to receive in subscription boxes, and this one didn’t disappoint. I own many Crown Brushes in my stash and 90% of them have been amazing. The company makes many different lines of brushes, ranging from fancy to very inexpensive, and I think that in this case you really get what you pay for, because all of my cheaper brushes have shedding problems and just don’t perform that great overall. My solution that doesn’t break the bank? Hunt for Crown Brush sales on Hautelook! I recently bought several really nice brushes there that would have otherwise cost me over $250, and only paid $50 with shipping and taxes included. Now that’s what we call a great deal!
[Bonus] Bodyography Veil Primer in Clear – I picked up this primer when it was available for purchase with Ipsypoints, because some of my points were going to expire. Now, the problem is, I already have several primers open right now, and not sure if I should keep this one and use myself, or just give it away. Did anyone else here grab this one and actually tried it? Is it any good?

That Nourish Organic! I said (on the ipsy site) that it smelt like a dirty fish tank! So I get where you’re coming from! Why would they think that’s okay!?
On the bright side, I got the Hikari lipstick and it was AMAZING. Long wearing, smooth, pretty color. Everything I would want in a lipstick.
Omg I thought I was crazy, but that smell of fresh raw fish/seafood is the only comparison I could think of. Glad I’m not alone, haha!
Good to know about the lipstick! I may try to swap for it with someone 🙂
