Ipsy Glam Bag & Glam Bag Plus June 2022 Unboxing & Review
So, I know I usually do separate posts for Glam Bag and Glam Bag plus but this time I decided to change things up and share both in one post. For Pride Month, Ipsy stylists curated vibrant bags with bold prints, encouraging you to Show Your Colors and embrace the beginning of summer. Let’s take a look at what I got in my Glam Bag & Glam Bag Plus this month!
HOW IT WORKS:
Each month as an Ipsy subscriber you will receive a new Glam Bag with a mix of 5 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products customized according to your beauty profile. Members can watch videos and play along with the stylists, all for only $13/month ($50+ value). Click here to check it out.
IN THE BAG:
1 // Dew Of The Gods Frozé Iced Rosé Body Scrub – The sample looks generous at first until you realize that it’s not big enough to try on your entire body. I used it on my legs and it was wonderful! Only wish Ipsy sent a couple extra packets. 5/5
2 // MILK Hydro Grip Primer – Very sticky at first, but once it dries, it holds onto makeup like glue. Very impressed! But the initial stickiness takes a couple tries to get used to. 4/5
3 // Laruce Beauty LR105 Short Shadow Brush Grey – I discovered Laruce through Ipsy and they have consistently been my go-to brushes since. Great quality and sturdy handles. 5/5
4 // Tarte Maneater Voluptuous Mascara – Very good mascara with a large wand that adds length and volume, making your lashes look like falsies. Only giving it a 4 because sometimes it’s not totally panda-proof, and it tends to smudge on the bottom lash line if I don’t set my concealer. 4/5
5 // Bad Habit Wake Things Up Matcha & Mint Morning Cleanser – It’s definitely “invigorating” , if you’re into minty cool feeling on your skin. I’m not, so for me this was a hard no. 1/5
HOW IT WORKS:
Each month you will receive a new drawstring pouch filled with a mix of 5 full-sized beauty products customized according to your beauty profile. Ipsy Glam Bag Plus members can watch videos and play along with the stylists, all for only $28/month ($120+ value). Click here to check it out.
IN THE BAG:
1 // Hipdot Mini Rainbow Sponges – Ok, I didn’t need any more makeup sponges, but these are absolutely adorable! The size makes them perfect for the undereye area and to use with cream blushes. 5/5
2 // Dr. Zenovia Hyaluronic Acid + Peptide Serum – This is one of my favorite products from Dr. Zenovia! The serum adds otherworldly glow to the skin, making it look juicy and plump, and feel oh-so-comfortable. It pairs well with a few drops of any beauty oil for some extra oomph. 5/5
3 // Dr. Brandt Triple Antioxidant Face Cream – It’s a good basic daily moisturizer, and the formula doesn’t flaunt any bells and whistles. Perhaps too basic to justify its $64 price tag, but Dr. Brandt is a premium brand so I’m not surprised that even the most bare bones products are still pricey. 4.5/5
4 // Belle en Argent Tinted Lip Balm For Wednesday’s Pink – Not quite as balmy as I expected it to be, but it looks nice and natural on the lips – perfect for a no-makeup look. It’s a bit similar to the Dior Lip Glow in Pink in a way that it’s lightly tinted and not overly moisturizing. 4/5
5 // Ciate London Trend Edit Palette Cranberry – I was very excited to see this palette in my bag, it’s just so pretty to look at! But then the reality hit and I realized that the color story doesn’t work for me since I rarely wear pink and burgundy eyeshadows. After checking the page with all the June options, I think I would have much preferred the mini Ayana palette from Natasha Denona instead, but oh well. -/5
BOTTOM LINE:
I don’t even know which product is my favorite, honestly, because I liked several of them equally. This is one of Ipsy’s better months and even the bags themselves are so fun! But if I had to pick just one item from each bag, I’d probably go for Laruce brush from the Glam Bag and Dr. Zenovia serum from Glam Bag Plus. Both products are phenomenal and I’ll be using them for months to come.
Which product would you be your #1 this month?
