I love rocking curly hairstyles, because they give body and volume to my otherwise fine and flat hair. While on the hunt for that perfect hair curler, I came across T3 Twirl 360 Motion-Sensing, Auto-Rotating 1.25” Curling Iron. That barrel size proved to be ideal for my locks in the past, so I expected good things from it.

Our new one-of-a-kind gyroscopic curling iron features patent-pending motion-sensing technology and an auto-rotating barrel to create beautiful curls and waves with a simple turn of your wrist. The Twirl 360 senses the movement of your hand and automatically rotates in the desired direction, forming polished, perfect curls every time. With 5 heat settings, 2 speeds, and T3 Tourmaline + Ceramic technology, the Twirl 360 is ideal for any hair type or skill level and delivers shiny waves and curls that last.

  • T3 Gyroscopic Technology that senses the movement of your hand and automatically rotates the barrel in that direction, ensuring tight grip on the strand for the most perfect and even curl.
  • Digital SinglePass™ Technology constantly measures and readjusts the heat in the barrel to make sure it’s evenly distributed.
  • T3 Tourmaline + Ceramic coating emits negatively-charged ions and infrared heat that reduce drying time and damage to hair.
  • Ionic charge seals the cuticles to make the hair appear smoother and shinier.
  • 5 Heat Settings up to 410F to style any type of hair, including baby fine and ethnic coils.
  • Cool Tip makes it easier to handle the iron.
  • 2X Speeds for different skill level and hair length.
  • T3 Twirl 360 also comes with a limited 2 year warranty, with an extensive list of service and repair options.

T3Micro Twirl 360 Review: Find out how to style Instagram-worthy cool girl waves >> http://bit.ly/1MPrgb4 || via @glamorable #Twirl360 #iFabboMemberI already know that all curlers create different styles, so I was curious what this one will make of my hair. As it turns out, the result looked like those lovely cool-girl waves that are so popular on Instagram right now. Here’s how I achieved mine [it’s really easy and you probably don’t even need a tutorial].

Shampoo & condition your hair, and let it dry, then spread a little bit of style-holding product throughout the whole length. I used a pea-sized dollop of Living Proof Prime Style Extender, but you might need more or less, depending on the hair length and texture.

2. Curl medium-sized sections of your hair. I didn’t specifically measure each section, but they were all about 2”-3” wide.

3. Brush the curls with a wide paddle brush.

4. Use a styling wax or pomade to add some texture. I rubbed a pea-sized amount of Wella Pearl Styler Styling Gel between my palms and quickly ran them through my hair for that slightly lived-in look.

I’ve used this curler about a dozen times now, and compiled the list of pros and cons that might help make a decision if you’re thinking about getting this one.

Pros:

  • The gyroscopic technology is highly responsive and works well, effectively reducing the curling time.
  • The design is undeniably elegant and sleek. It would be a stylish accessory in any bathroom.
  • These is no noticeable damage to my hair, while with some other curlers it was very evident.
  • The results are predictable, and I got perfectly shaped curls every single time.
  • The barrel heats up in less than a minute.

Cons:

  • The waves seem to lose their shape faster than usual, compared to other curlers.
  • Some fellow bloggers reported that the hair clip can’t withstand the heat from the barrel. Apparently, the glue connecting some parts in the clip melted and the clip just fell on the floor. According to different reports, this happened on their 3rd or 4th use, so mine is probably safe, since I used it a whole lot more than that, but I would definitely keep the store receipt just in case. My guess is that there’s a defective batch circulating among different retailers.

T3Micro Twirl 360 Review: Find out how to style Instagram-worthy cool girl waves >> http://bit.ly/1MPrgb4 || via @glamorable #Twirl360 #iFabboMemberOverall, I am satisfied with T3 Twirl 360, and I like that instead of perfect princessy coils, it creates modern cool girl waves, that are great for everyday wear; I only wish they held up a little better, but maybe that’s just the bane of having baby fine hair.

WHERE TO BUY: $230 USD. Available at T3 Micro, Sephora, Beauty.com, Amazon.

P.S.: If you thought that I look a little tired in the photos, it’s because I am 🙁 I’m prone to chronic migraines, thanks to genetics, and have been battling a pretty bad one for the past few days. It’s hard to fall asleep when your normal feathery pillow feels like a pile of rocks.

Have you tried an auto-rotating curler before? Would you consider getting one to save time in the morning? Let me know in the comments below!

Look at us blog post #twinsies today hehe. I agree my review was the same as yours my hair isn’t thick and the curls fell pretty fast and I had to redo a few of them. If you have thicker hair I can’t imagine it is going to hold the curl. I love it and it’s pretty but for the price it hurts hehe

Haha, I thought the same thing, it’s funny that we posted on the same day 🙂 Actually, I posted because I got a content reminder from iFabbo and was like OOPSIE!! But in all seriousness, I think it’s that ion technology that makes the curls lose their shape.

For the price, this tool should hold up better. Love the look you created.

    • June 19, 2015 / 11:35 am

That’s what I thought, too. And thank you!

  4. June 18, 2015 / 7:02 pm

I really liked the tool, I have heard of others having issues but mine was good.

    • June 19, 2015 / 11:36 am

I like it too, it’s different and gives me results that I don’t get with other curlers, but it has some flaws for sure.

I love this curling iron, though i don’t like the auto twirl feature.

    • June 19, 2015 / 11:36 am

I actually adore that feature, because it can be a pain trying to get a neat curl on long hair.

  6. June 18, 2015 / 11:17 pm

On topic, your hair looks just amazing. Off topic, I am a migraine sufferer and I used to miss so much work because of it. My sister has it even worse than I do and both of my brothers have migraines. Thank goodness my kids don’t get them. I feel for you.

    • June 19, 2015 / 11:41 am

I missed out on a lot of family time because of those migraines. My Dad has them really bad, I remember he sometimes had to stop driving and go outside to throw up. Everyone felt so bad for him 🙁 He said they’d gotten better over the years, so maybe mine will get better, too. I was recommended some botox shots to make them more tolerable, so I’m currently considering that. I don’t have kids yet, but when I do I’ll feel really bad if even one of them inherits my migraines.

I like the soft curls it gave you!

  9. June 19, 2015 / 9:21 am

I wasn’t a huge fan of this tool and I highly agree with your con list. Your hair turned out insanely gorgeous though!

    • June 19, 2015 / 11:45 am

Thanks girlie!! I agree, I feel like there are better curlers that are much cheaper, and there are also risks with that potentially faulty clip. I do however like the curls I can create with it, they turn out just right for everyday wear.

I really like automatic curlers, they make things so easy and it definitely added beautiful volume and style for you!

    • June 19, 2015 / 11:46 am

I like the automatic feature as well, it’s one of those innovations that makes you wonder how you lived without it. Like smartphones 🙂

Mine is here, it is going to get it’s picture taken. I’m waiting until after my salon appointment on the 22nd to take blog photos in action. My colour is jacked, right now! lol

Girl, I have like 2 solid inches of roots showing! Thank goodness my selfies aren’t large enough for everyone to see lol 🙂 I look forward to reading your review <3

Your hair looks so gorgeous! I love mine. I use it just to straighten my hair and also to curl!

    • June 21, 2015 / 1:02 am

Never thought of using it for straightening! I’ll have to try that 🙂

  14. June 19, 2015 / 2:58 pm

    Your hair looks amazing!

  15. June 19, 2015 / 4:46 pm

Your hair looks ah-mazing! I’m having a hard time getting mine to work but my darn hair is just so long.

    • June 21, 2015 / 1:03 am

Thank you, Honey, you are too sweet! 🙂 Bummer that it doesn’t want to work with your hair, I think you might need a bigger barrel.
