Urban Decay Perversion Mascara has a really great formula that really helps build up the volume at the base of my lashes. I don’t think it was very effective for lengthening, but it might eliminate the need for tightlining if you sort of wiggle it from side to side a couple times. I also like that the color is a true, intense black, rather than gray or dark charcoal.
There were different scents of Herbal Essences Body Wash sent out, and I got Honey, I Smell Good, that smells like honey, fruits, and flowers. It’s a fabulous summery scent that can make anyone feel happy by simply taking a shower.
I’m just not a black & white makeup person, so I think I’ll include LOL Rotational Eye Shadow Palette in 01 Black Berry as an extra in one of my little gift bags. LOL is a very inexpensive drugstore brand from Australia, that apparently makes high quality products, sort of like e.l.f.
Nails Inc Nail Polish in Bruton Street is a beautiful pale grayish pink, that belongs in my Spring color palette, but I can see it looking very pretty with a slight tan. I like Nails Inc formula, because it usually wears well on my nails, and i’m happy to add another bottle to my collection.
I’ve seen so many blog posts about Simple Skincare Micellar Cleansing Water, and almost went to pick up a full-sized bottle to try. Glad I waited! This month we got a little peelie sample of it to try, as well as a $2 off coupon, which I’m totally going to redeem.
THE VERDICT: Initially I thought that including a magazine insert peelie in the box and counting it as one of our five samples was super stingy, but the more I look at these products, the better I feel about them. After all, it’s not every day I can get my hands on a sample of Urban Decay mascara, and the full-sized nail polish will most definitely be used. I also loved the body wash, and I like that it’s from an affordable brand, so I can just go and buy it without feeling guilty about washing money down the drain [pun intended]. So yeah, after all, what I thought would end up a sad box, turned out to be not so bad after all.
