Is there a particular Holiday look that you love? I am partial to dewy complexion with cheeks that look like they have been pinched by the snow, also commonly called snow kissed skin makeup. Here’s how to quickly achieve that Holiday glow!
1 // Apply matte foundation. For this look I used Maybelline Matte + Poreless Foundation, which makes my skin look so nice and even!
2 // Brighten the under eye area. I love Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in Radiant, because that peachy-pink hue camouflages my undereye circles really well.
3 // Apply blush. The trick here is to apply a generous amount only on the apples of your cheeks. Usually I blend out the pigment toward the temples, but in our snow kissed makeup we’re trying to give the cheeks that flushed effect. For this look I used Benefit Cosmetics Hervana blush.
4 // And finally, the dew! To add frosty effect to your makeup, add some luminizer to cheeks, bridge of the nose, and cupid’s bow. I actually used Bathwater, which is one of the eyeshadow pans from the new Urban Decay x Gwen palette. I realize that I haven’t reviewed this palette yet, so stay tuned for a formal blog post some time later this week!
Well, those are the key components of my snow kissed look! The rest of the makeup can be bold or minimal, but I prefer to pair it with a neutral smokey eye and clear lip gloss.
