Glossybox Review: November 2012

Glossybox usually sets a theme for their monthly boxes, and the November theme is “‘Tis the Season to Be Glossy”. Last month Glossybox managed to ship my box to my billing address instead of the shipping so a few days ago I finally went there and the post office still had it. At that point the contents of the box were not a surprise at all and I was hoping to receive a hand cream and a solid perfume. Unfortunately that didn’t happen and my box had a blush in it.

About Glossybox:
Glossybox is one of the most popular international beauty subscription boxes, and now it finally came to the US. Each month Glossybox subscribers receive up to six deluxe-size to full size products from crème de la crème of international brands. At $21/month this is one of the most expensive monthly boxes, but the value of your box will always be above. Click here to join Glossybox.

Illamasqua Lip & Eye Medium Pencil in Honour
I lucked out and didn’t get any of the crazy colors like lime green or yellow, I don’t think i would be brave enough to wear those. This pencil has a nice smooth texture and doesn’t feel like a #2. The color can be described as a deep brown with subtle eggplant undertones.

Incoco Nail Polish Applique
I didn’t have the time to try out the ones I received so I’ll just leave this description blank and fill it out when I can finally use them. As opposed to nail dress these are made of actual nail polish and can be stretched to fit your nail.

Kryolan for Glossybox Blush in Glossy Rosewood and Lipstick in Glossy Pink
I loved both the lipstick and the blush. The blush comes in gorgeous shade of pink and is perfect for light and medium complexions. And the lipstick and soft, creamy and very pigmented and feels like balm on the lips. I will get a lot of use out of them both and just like any other Kryolan products these two didn’t fail to impress!

Nume Style Argan Oil
Argan oil is a very versatile product that can be used for face, hair and body. I prefer to add it in my shampoos and conditioners and spread a few drops into my hair after my hair is dry for the best moisturizing effect. This sample came with a $100 discount card to NuMe store but everything there seems to be terribly overpriced so I won’t be redeeming it.

Skin&Co ROMA Truffle Serum
I instantly fell in love with this serum. It’s very lightweight and ultra-moisturizing and doesn’t make my face feel sticky or look greasy. My skin’s been acting up lately and this sample made a huge difference in removing the tight feeling and calming down a few red spots.
