Exuviance Bionic Oxygen Facial Review

NeoStrata did it again! This time the creators of my favorite AHA peels went one step further and released a new type of facial masque that is bound to get really popular. If you are a fan of Korean beauty products, you might already be familiar with the power of oxygen-rich bubbles to purify the skin by reaching into the deepest depths of your pores. Exuviance took this fun and slightly ticklish experience one step further by combining the power of oxygen with PHA/Bionic blend of actives that will gently resurface the skin for the most glowing and luminous complexion.

Exuviance Bionic Oxygen Facial Review. Read more at >> www.glamorable.com | via @glamorableI received a lab-filled sample of Exuviance Bionic Oxygen Facial treatment a few months ago for media preview, but didn’t have a chance to start using it until Fall rolled in because I had so many other skin care products in line to be tested and featured. At the time of this review, I’ve been using Bionic Oxygen Facial regularly for just over two months, and I definitely have results to report.

Here’s what Exuviance says about their newest product:

This unique mask containing pure essential Oxygen plus our Bionic Complex energizes and detoxifies, bringing new life to stressed skin, and instantly restoring a youthful, soft, luminous complexion.

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Perfluorohexane, Gluconolactone, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Dimethicone PEG-7 Phosphate, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, PPG-5-Ceteth-20, Polysorbate 20, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Lactobionic Acid, Coco-Glucoside, Perfluorodecalin, Perfluoromethylcyclopentane, Isononyl Isononanoate, Ethylhexyl Isononanoate, Butylene Glycol, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Ammonium Hydroxide, Sodium Cocamidopropyl PG-Dimonium Chloride Phosphate, Polyquaternium-10, Carrageenan, Disodium EDTA, Sorbitan Isostearate, Polysorbate 60, Xanthan Gum, Caprylyl Glycol, Methyldihydrojasmonate, Hexyl Salicylate, Benzyl Acetate, Cyclamen Aldehyde, 2,6-Dimethyl-7-Octen-2-ol, Juniperus Mexicana Oil, Heliotropine, 3-Hexenol, Methyl Benzodioxepinone, 2,4-Dimethyl-3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Chlorphenesin, Phenoxyethanol, CI 60730 (Ext. Violet 2), CI 42090 (Blue 1).

With such extensive ingredient list, you would expect it to be filled with all sorts of irritants, but after running a quick CosDNA analysis, it appears that there is only one potential offender – Carrageenan, which is ranked high as a potential acne trigger. However, since Bionic Oxygen Facial is a wash-off type product, it’s not like that carrageenan will be sitting on the skin clogging the pores, so I think we’re safe from that as long as the residue is properly removed, like it should be.

The masque [do we all agree that it’s a masque?] comes in a tall airtight pump with thin nozzle that dispenses small amounts of blueish green pastel cream-gel in small quantities, so you can get exactly as much as you need and no product in wasted. While similar oxygenating treatments bubbled on my face quite violently, Exuviance Bionic Oxygen Facial delivered a soft gradual development of tiny foam-like bubbles that tickled rather than itched [my skin often tends to itch when the bubbling is too intense].

Exuviance Bionic Oxygen Facial Review. Read more at >> www.glamorable.com | via @glamorableLike I mentioned in the beginning of this review, I’ve been using Bionic Oxygen Facial religiously for over two months now, 3-4 times a week. What it did for my skin is something no other product can do – it gently and thoroughly removes all traces of oil, dirt, makeup, and even physical sunscreen from the pores, so with regular use my complexion started looking much brighter. Yes, I’m sure there are other products in my routine that contributed to the change, but proper cleansing will always be my #1 beauty secret.

Exuviance has some really great examples on their site, but basically you can use it bi-weekly after applying one of their peel treatments [one of my favorite products by the way!], or right after manually sloughing off dead skin with an abrasive scrub exfoliant, just to be double-sure those pores are thoroughly cleaned and the skin’s surface is smooth and polished.

In my case, I always use it to dig out those pesky physical sunscreen particles. They are too big to get absorbed by the skin, but cling to it like sun protection is going out of style! That’s where having Bionic Oxygen Facial on hand comes in handy [pun intended!]. Oxygen bubbles gently lift up the particles so they can be easily rinsed off, no scrubbing required.

To wrap up this review, I want to once again mention that NeoStrata/Exuviance products almost never disappointed me. They constantly feature potent formulas that really work, and their peels are simply out of this world. If you’re looking to invest in a few foolproof anti-aging skin care pieces, this is a brand I will stand behind each and every time. After all, I trust them with my own face 🙂

WHERE TO BUY: $65 USD for 3.2 fl. oz. Available at NeoStrata, Ulta.

CosDNA Analysis? YOU LIFESAVER! I am off to spend the whole night analysing ingredients of everything in my cupboard on that website! Thank you for introducing me to this!

I’ve used a similar facial from Bliss. I liked it. Carrageenan is also supposed to be a carcinogen.
