January has ended, which means it’s time to show you my monthly empties! I think I did pretty well, considering how hard it is for a beauty fanatic to finish products. Without further ado, here they are!
Golden Earth Aromatherapy Body Wash – Neroli is not my favorite fragrance, but it somehow worked in this body wash. The scent is floral and slightly spicy, and I like that it doesn’t linger on the skin. I probably wouldn’t purchase a full size, or at least not in this scent.
Juara Avocado Banana Moisture Mask – Received this sample a long time ago in Yuzen box, and only now finally finished the jar. I personally didn’t care for it, because it didn’t seem to do anything for my skin: it felt the same way before and after. Juara products are always hit and miss for me, and this one was a miss.
Philip B. Classic Formula Lightweight Conditioning Cream Rinse – This after-shampoo hair treatment did nothing for my fine hair, so I don’t think I’ll be purchasing the full size.
Snowberry Smoothing Eye Serum – This is a very generous sample size, and the product worked surprisingly well for reducing morning eye puffiness and fine lines. It’s currently outside of my price range, but I’ll be stalking special promotions and flash sale sites in hopes of getting my hands on a full-sized bottle.
Victoria’s Secret Mango Temptation Body Wash – Fabulous fragrance! I love mango-scented anything, and I will be back for more of this bubbly goodness. I wouldn’t call it a staple, but whenever I get a VS gift card, I use it on mango body wash. No kidding 🙂
L’Occitane Aromachologie Repairing Shampoo – Love this shampoo, it was my gateway into the world of fancy hair care and to this date it’s still one of my favorites after I’ve tried and tested over a hundred different products. It makes my hair look very healthy, and I don’t even need to use a conditioner.
Alvera Almond Aloe Deodorant – This is my staple product that I use almost every day, because I didn’t find anything better. I’m still searching for my perfect healthy deodorant, so even though I’m sitting on a box full of these, I keep trying different brands and doing my research online. I’ll be reviewing several healthy deodorants in the near future, so stay tuned!
c. Booth Nourishing Dry oil Mist – Great body moisturizer, and quite inexpensive! It makes my skin feel soft and doesn’t leave it super greasy like most other body oils. Will be re-purchasing.
CellCeuticals Extreme Defense Anti-Cell Damage Skin Treatment – Felt nice on the skin, but I wasn’t really wowed. It’s a good non-sticky moisturizer that absorbs well, but not a must-have for me.
Erno Lazslo Light Controlling Lotion – That was a pretty good toner, and I’m quite picky about those. It made my skin feel fresh and matte, but not too tight, while controling the oil roduction. If I have spare cash I might splurge on this one.
Murad Hybrids Skin Perfecting Primer Matte Finish – That bottle is still 3/4 full, and I’m basically throwing it away, because I can’t use it. The color is too dark for my complexion, and I don’t like how it makes my skin look ashy.
Redken Clean Brew Shampoo – This line is targeted for men, but I liked it as a clarifying treatment once in a while. It makes my hair look fuller and stronger, and gives me a lot of volume. I won’t be purchasing the full size mainly because I like using sample-sized clarifying shampoos, but if you don’t care about sulfates – this is a good one to check out!
Be a Bombshell Onyx Eyeliner – Unfortunately, this eyeliner irritated my eyes, so I have to toss it. I literally used it once or twice. What a waste! 🙁
Starlooks Precision Eye Liner Pen – I liked this eye liner, it reminds me of Le Metier de Beaute, which costs twice as much. I used this one up and will probably buy more, if I need it. Right now I have several eyeliners I’m testing, so that purchase won’t be happening anytime soon.
Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes – These makeup removing wipes work quite well, but they still sting my skin a little bit. I’m not sure why, but I experienced that reaction with almost all of the wet wipes I’ve tried so far, so there has to be some common ingredient causing the stinging. Overall, this product works well, but I’m going to keep searching for my HG facial wipes.

Have you tried any of these? What products did you empty out this month?
I love having empties! I always feel satisfied for some reason. I’m curious about that deodorant!
I know what you mean, it always feels so good to see empty bottles. Makes me feel like I’m actually using up the products I buy 🙂
Holy empties! I don’t know if I could ever do a post like this. I’m planning a no-buy February so we’ll see what happens lol maybe I’ll get a few!
Nice! Good luck sticking to your no-buy, I always fail at those.
Have you tried Lavanila Healthy Deodorant ? The coconut scent is my favorite.
I actually did! I tried the plain vanilla one, and it worked pretty well. My two complaints are the white residue and the fact that it dries out really fast.
so many empties! awesome!
Makes me feel like less of a goo hoarder, lol 😀
I love seeing posts like this! Gives me a good idea of what people have used and really loved
I’m right there with you, as a reader I’m always excited to read other bloggers’ empties posts 🙂
I can never seem to empty anything! I’m curious about the healthy deodorants – I’ve never really thought about them. I’ll have to keep an eye out for your posts reviewing them!
You just have to stash away the extras (extra moisturizer, extra shampoo etc) and try to finish one bottle at a time 🙂 I know it can be hard, but it feels so rewarding!
That’s a lot of empties. I love finishing off products because I have stashes everywhere and it gets overwhelming. I love the Neutrogena wipes. I had the Burt’s Bees sting my face but not Neutrogena.
Yeah, Burt’s Bees stung my face too, I really wonder what it is that causes the stinging, because it seems to be very common.
I love seeing empties 🙂
Me too 😀
I need to start keeping track of my empties for posts like this. This is great 🙂
You totally should! Not only does it feel satisfying, your readers will also love seeing what you emptied out 🙂
Yay for empties. I am really bad about posting mine but so happy so them from others 🙂
Ahh, you should try to save them in a bag or something! I love reading empties posts 🙂
That’s so many empties!!! Some nice products in there!
Indeed! Most of them were okay or meh, but some are just wonderful 🙂
Wow that’s a lot of empties! I was doing a monthly post like this and I want to get back into the swing of it. I love L’Occitane’s hair care…it’s the best. And Philip B haircare doesn’t really do much for me either!
Glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t buy the hype about Philip B. It seems overpriced and doesn’t really seem to work that well.
I’ve wanted to try the L’Occitane Aromachologie hair care line.. I’ve got my eye on that hair mask
I heard some really great things about Aromachologie mask, but didn’t get to try it yet.
Great products you’ve been through 🙂
Indeed 🙂 Even found some new favorites.
Those are great stuff to go through
Indeed! Empties make me feel sense of accomplishment 🙂
The Be A Bombshell liner in brown irritated my eyes though the black doesn’t. It also ran red so if I was teary I’d have red lines!
You did a good job on emptying!
Eek, I really hope it didn’t do any serious damage D: I appreciate Ipsy sending us full-sized products but so far I wasn’t impressed with Be a Bombshell.
I am looking fwd to your healthy deodorant review posts! I am currently using Lavanila….
Look forward to sharing 🙂 Lavanilla was one of the first healthy deodorants I tried since I made the switch, and now I keep constantly trying new ones.
I love reading empties posts, I want to try the c. Booth dry oil mist
I love that oil, it was one of my most-used products this winter.
note to self, stay away from be a bombshell liner – my eyes are super sensitive!
Good call, Chrissy.
You emptied all of that? wow!!!
