Tis’ the season of giving, and nothing entices me to buy presents more than Holiday gift guides. Seriously, you guys, I am always amazed how fellow bloggers never manage to run out of Christmas gift ideas no matter how many years in a row they create those gift guides. I am a creature of habit, so once I find some favorites, I end up sticking with them, which is why sometimes my suggestions can be a bit redundant. I hope you don’t mind though, because the products I tend to recommend are all the things I personally loved, and I know your giftee is likely to love them, too.
This Holiday season I would like to introduce you to some of my absolute favorite products that I’ve loved for years, as well as some of my more recent discoveries. I hope you enjoy!
Fragrance is a classic gift that never gets old, but it’s hard to pick the perfect one, since scents are so individual. There are several I’ve been using and loving lately that I thought you might want to check out for yourself or a giftee.
Katy Perry Mad Love – I originally received it to use in a sponsored social media campaign and seriously fell in love with the scent. I rarely like drugstore fragrances, since most of them tend to smell similar to one another, but this one is like a breath of fresh air. It’s fruity, citrusy, floral, and very lightweight. And the packaging is totally on-point! You still have time to run to your local Walgreens and grab one from the shelf. It’s also available as part of special Holiday gift sets.
DefineMe Fragrance Duo featuring Sofia Isabel and Audry scents is another recent staple that has been sitting on my vanity table lately. I initially fell in love with floral Audry, but as the cooler temperatures set in my senses were begging for citrusy Sofia Isabel. These fragrance oils are made with coconut oil base and last for hours and hours on bare skin. Besides, for every full sized bottle of fragrance purchased $1 goes to scholarships for girls in low-income countries. You can smell good and feel good about buying a fragrance that contributes to a great cause 🙂
Molton Brown Rosa Absolute EDT – I mean, this post sums up everything pretty much. It’s the best rose fragrance I’ve tried in a while, and it’s definitely different than your grandma’s powdery rose perfume from the 60s. Molton Brown’s refreshing take on a timeless classic makes this perfume smell almost edible, kind of like LUSH’s Rose Jam. I always get a lot of compliments when I wear it, even from people who hate rose notes.
For a girl that loves her squats, pilates, hot yoga, or spin class there’s no better gift than a new water bottle. It’s something she will be using every day, so it has to be practical, pretty, and well-made, like Contigo bottles. I currently own this beautiful purple Contigo Purity Petal Glass Water Bottle and can’t say enough good things about it. Before it started snowing here in Michigan, I always brought it with me when I went on bike rides. I swear, the water tastes better when you drink it out of a glass.
Another awesome gift for a girl on the go is a backpack. No, seriously, backpacks are in right now and this classic black piece is perfect for everyday commute, running errands, and traveling. I’ve been wearing my Solo Bridgehampton Ladies Backpack all of fall, and completely forgot about my small purses.
P.S.: You’ve seen both of these in my Snapchat stories!
You know what else makes a fun and inexpensive gift? Socks! Lots of socks! I seriously love gifting and receiving socks, especially during the winter holidays when they are more than appropriate. I literally just received a shipment of HappySocks and I’m already obsessed with the fun patterns and super soft material. There are dozens of awesome designs to choose from and they have comfy undies, too 😉
PIXI Holiday Collection – PIXI is a brand that has released some absolutely amazing products this year. My love started with trying their Silky Eye Pen several years ago, and now I have about a dozen favorites that I love recommending to my friends and family when they ask for drugstore beauty recommendations. For Holiday 2016 they released a collection of products in festive LE packaging, including Palette Rosette, Fairy Dust Metallic Eyeshadow Pigments, and Endless Silky Eye Pen Kit with several classics and shimmery seasonal picks.
A super organized person probably already has an organizer for 2017, but if you know someone who could definitely use one or maybe someone who always wants to get one and never does [I know a few like that, haha!], check out new BlueSky Personalized Planners. They are available in two sizes and you can customize them to your liking. You can also choose several freebies, like stickers and meal plan pages, to be included in the planner. I just made one for my blog and can’t wait to start scribbling in it!
Finally, a small stocking stuffer gift that is fun, affordable, and offers instant gratification. Sheet masks, I am looking at you! Give one of these to your hostess and she will definitely have an excuse to take a 30-minute break to enjoy the benefits. Sorry, honey, can you load the dishwasher? I’ve got a sheet mask on! Sheet masks come in various shapes, sizes, and price ranges, and you can definitely find one that fits your budget. Some of my recent favorites are Erno Laszlo Soothe & Calm, Seoul Mamas Revitalizing Mask, and Bonvivant Botanical Mask Pack.
Well, that was my last minute gift guide! You have only a few days left to shop for gifts to make sure they arrive on time, so don’t delay. I know I still have a couple things to get, but I will be shopping for those in retail stores.
