Celebrate Your Goals This Summer With Johnson&Johnson and Walgreens

I bet all of us set goals for summertime, whether it’s to get our bodies beach ready, prepare for the wedding season, graduations, finally grow the perfect garden, or host a party to celebrate our favorite sports teams, or simply spend more time with family.

What about me? Well, my personal plans and goals include attending a friend’s wedding; enjoying the outdoors while making sure my skin doesn’t completely roast in the sun; get out of my neutral rut and finally incorporate more color into my beauty routine; start eating healthier and lose 10 lbs; congratulate my husband’s cousin with her high school graduation, and his other cousin with graduating college; attend several Birthday parties; root for my favorite soccer team and maybe even host a game viewing party; visit family more often; work on a super-secret business project with my sister and more… So many plans!

In preparation for some of those goals I stopped by my local Walgreens to pick up a few healthy essentials, like sunscreen, moisturizing body lotion, and topical antibiotic to make my life a little easier during this busy season. If you are a Balance Rewards member, you can also score 3,000 bonus points for purchasing $15 worth of select Johnson&Johnson products. Those are some great savings!

Friend’s wedding is among my closest plans [it’s this upcoming weekend, actually], so I was looking for a cute outfit to wear. I needed something I would feel comfortable in, but at the same time appropriate for the occasion, so I decided to wear a sleeveless red dress. Part of the celebration will be outside, and since the dress will reveal my bare wintery-white legs and arms, I have to make sure my porcelain complexion doesn’t become lobster complexion. My sunscreen for the day has to be sweat-proof and easy to reapply, so I chose Neutrogena® Beach Defense® SPF 30. It provides broad-spectrum protection that will prevent my skin from sun burns and photo-aging; and its lightweight formula absorbs immediately without leaving a sticky layer behind. I will also spray it on my updo, because hair needs sun protection, too.

Knowing that I will have to spend all day wearing high heels, I figured it would be smart to also pick up a tube of Neosporin and some bandages, just in case I develop a blister. We all know, when that happens, the pain is the only thing we can think about.

After a long day in the sun, it’s always nice to pamper your skin with a moisturizing body lotion. On my shopping trip to Walgreens I picked up a bottle of Lubriderm® Daily Moisture Lotion to keep my skin nourished. I’ve been using a body oil before, but once the temperatures reach mid 90s, I think it’s time to switch to something lighter.
