What to Buy at Sephora VIB Sale: Skincare Edit
I wasn’t planning on making a list this year, but more than a few friends reached out on Facebook and on IG asking for tips on what to buy at Sephora VIB sale this year, and I thought maybe you guys might be interested, too. A couple years ago I spent a lot of time on a list like this and it totally flopped, so I decided to just stop making them. Today I will basically share what’s on my wishlist this year [obviously, I won’t be able to buy all of it, but I’ll get something!], and also a few standouts that I have no plans of buying myself but definitely recommend trying. The sale is coming up next week, but if you are Rouge, you can start shopping this Friday! The actual dates and codes are below.
Sephora VIB Sale Dates for November 2017:
- Beauty Insider – 15% off with code INSIDER15, valid 11/10 – 11/15.
- VIB – 20% off with code 20FORVIB, valid 11/10 – 11/15.
- Rouge – 20% off with code 20FORROUGE, valid 11/3 – 11/6 and 11/10 – 11/15.
Note: all of the products in this guide are actually in my favorites list at sephora.com, just so you guys know these recs are legit. đ Not that I think you were doubting me or anything, but I believe that extra transparency is always nice.
DRUNK ELEPHANT – This brand has been on my radar for ages, and I’ve done a lot of research to figure out which of their products are worth and not worth the money. In terms of value, the sets are where it’s at. For instance, NightBright⢠Duo ($28) contains travel-sized Framboos exfoliating serum and Marula Oil, both of which are at the top of my list to try. The Littles⢠($90) is another set to try if you want a generous 1-month supply of the brand’s bestsellers. By the way, this set sells out a lot, I saw it gone at least 3 times since I added it to loves. Volume 2: Come C About Me⢠($88) set comes with a full-sized Vitamin C serum that a lot of Redditors are raving about, and other products are basically just extras. For single product recs, this is how I have them on my list: Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil, T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacialâ˘, T.L.C. Framboos⢠Glycolic Night Serum, C-Firma⢠Day Serum.
AMOREPACIFIC – I only ever tried the brand’s products as travel-sized samples or foils, but this year I am really craving a full-sized bottle, and there is at least one product that makes me want to drop an obscene amount of money on it. If I didn’t already know how good essences are for the skin, I’d think people are spending money on water, but these things really work. Vintage Single Extract Essence ($145) costs an arm and a leg, but the VIB discount makes the purchase more bearable. I am still having second thoughts, because that’s a lot of money to spend on a single product, so I may just pick up the My 12 Days of Botanical Beauty ($55) set instead, which comes with a small sample vial of the essence.
HERBIVORE BOTANICALS – I wasn’t interested in this brand until I bought a bottle of Phoenix Cell Regenerating Facial Oil ($88), and it blew my mind. It’s so amazing! After a month it made my skin softer, brighter, and definitely more resilient to weather. So after some research I also added Lapis Oil Balancing Facial Oil ($72) and Orchid Youth-Preserving Facial Oil ($64) to my list, and I plan on picking up at least one of these during the sale. Herbivore also released two limited edition sets if yo’re interested – True Blue Skin Clarifying Duo ($29) and Coco Rose Luxe Hydration Trio ($39). FYI, these products are all clean & non-toxic.
BELIF – The True Cream Aqua Bomb ($38) is probably the brand’s most famous product, and I kinda want to pick up a jar. It’s a really great hydrating moisturizer that’ll quench every cell with water. They recently released a Holly Jolly Hydration Set ($38), which I think is very reasonably priced and a great deal if you want to try several products plus get your hands on a full-sized jar of cream. There is also Bestsellers On-The-Go Travel Kit ($20) and Bestsellers On-The-Go Travel Kit #2 ($20) for more variety.
PRIMARY RAW – I actually own both of these products already, but I just wanted to recommend DoYou Soy Milk Ferment Essence Toner ($38) and DoYou 2-Step Milk Peeling Kit ($6), especially for those who have rough skin. These products soften the bumps so well!
SUNDAY RILEY – There are several Sunday Riley products that I think might be a worthy splurge based on my research, and Good Genes All-In-One Lactic Acid Treatment ($158) is probably at the top of my list. This lactic acid treatment is supposedly gentle and it’s a HG for a lot of skincare bloggers who normally don’t splurge on products just because it’s a fancy brand. Other products I think are worth a try – Luna ($105) for overnight nourishment and U.F.O. ($80) for breakouts. My friends had really great results with both of these.
Well, that’s pretty much it for my skincare wishlist! I hope I gave you some ideas, or inspired you to take a look at one of these brands.
Are you shopping the Sephora VIB Sale this year? What’s on your radar? Let me know in the comments below!
Belif’s holiday sets are a steal and with 20% off they’re an even better deal. I am looking for a vitamin C serum with a high percentage of C so I’ll check out Drunk Elephant’s set that comes with a full size C serum – thanks for the recco!
I definitely want to try something from Drunk Elephant so thank you for the suggestions!
I only have one skincare item on my list, the newest IT Cosmetics Serum. It’s a great time though to buy something that normally is too expensive.
I have tried all three of the Sunday Riley products you have listed. I love them all. They have definitely changed my complexion and cleared up my severe hormonal and cystic acne. I have had such significant changes, that I feel they are worth every penny.
I want some Drunk Elephan and I’m just confused on which to get. Like do I get what I know I want…or do it in smaller sizes to try more things? i dunno
I love this sale! Always an excuse to get my faves!!!
