Fess up, ladies, who else is totally crushing on guys’ eyebrows? After all they didn’t go through phases of plucking them out and then trying to grow them back to accommodate for ever-changing beauty trends. Now the strong natural brow is the most coveted look of the season, and Mirabella created two new brow products to help us achieve it.
Mirabella Borrowed from the Boys collection includes two products: The Brow Shaper, a tinted all-in-one eyebrow groomer, and The Brow Pencil that comes in three shades to match a variety of hair types.
Each The Brow Pencil is equipped with a grooming spoolie brush on one end, and a microfine tip on another to create precise color strokes mimicking natural hairs. Simply draw in the lines, and brush them out!
There are three colors available:
- Light – for blonde, red, and light brunette hair
- Medium – for auburn, light, and medium brunette hair
- Dark – for dark brown and black hair
Unlike some eyebrow pencils. Mirabella The Brow Pencil is buttery smooth and deposits a lot of pigment in one stroke. Despite the soft tip, I found that it was sturdy enough to prevent breaking, which can happen with soft eye and brow pencils sometimes. For my auburn hair Medium shade turned out to be the best match! Check out my selfie below to see for yourself.
As promised, the wear time was exceptional. Mirabella said that the color will stay vibrant all day, and it did, so I have nothing negative to say here.
Swatch reference: My skin tone is between MAC NC15 and NW15 with yellowish hue and neutral undertones. Sometimes I can wear NW20 in the Summer. I thought this would be useful to know, since all screens show colors differently, and I also don’t have a studio setup with consistent lighting. Hope that helps!
For those of you who prefer a more effortless approach to beauty, The Brow Shaper might be a good choice. Like its predecessors from benefit Cosmetics, Anastasia, and others, it’s a swipe-and-go kind of product that will give you the no fuss model-off-duty look. Warm medium brown shade is designed to match a wide range of hair colors, and will give them groomed appearance without making it too obvious that you’re wearing makeup.
Overall I am happy with both of these! I’ve been reaching for my Medium Brow Pencil whenever I wanted to put in effort into my makeup, but if I don’t – there’s always The Brow Shaper to save the day [and my unruly eyebrows].
WHERE TO BUY:
- The Brow Pencil – $21 USD each. Available at Mirabella.
- The Brow Shaper – $25 USD each. Available at Mirabella.

I use the Light pencil and the gel a lot. Love ’em and everything from Mirabella Beauty!
I tried Light but it looked too pale on me, probably because my hair is a bit darker color right now. I’ll give it a shot next time I dye my hair red.
I prefer a natural brow look, I’ll have to try these some time!
Natural brows are super hot in editorials right now!
Ooh these look nice! Your brows look great!
You’re so sweet, thank you!
Your brows look great!
Thank you!
I love the way your brows look. I wonder if the darkest one would look unnatural on me. I think medium would be too light though.
Thank you Marcia! These pencils are so easy to use and I’m always happy with the way my brows turn out when I’m done.
I use the medium shade everyday!
It’s great, isn’t it? I really like the color!
I prefer thicker brows anytime – they give a more youthful look. You have gorgeous brows! I wish I had an arch!
Thank you! I think brows are probably the most important part of my makeup, aside from concealer.
I love these pencils!
They are wonderful!
Your brows look great! I think I’d def use the medium.
Thank you! I agree, I think medium would be a great color for you 🙂
I like the shaper in your photos! I think the light would be too warm for me.
Light definitely leans warm, but I bet you could get away with medium.
I use both of these and they are awesome! Great review:)
Thank you! I am in love with these myself 🙂
