Blue Beauty Products to Soothe Winter Skin: TATCHA Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream and dear klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream

This post is as random as it gets! As I keep battling with our freezing Michigan winter weather and the total havoc it wreaks on my skin, I discovered that I reach for two products that have one thing in common: they the blue. First of all, blue is a very soothing color in itself, I mean have you ever stared at the clear sky? It’s such a thing of beauty! Naturally, I always associated blue-toned skincare with something nourishing, soothing, and anti-inflammatory. I have several different products in my arsenal, but for skin irritations on my face I’ve been mostly reaching for TATCHA Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream and dear klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream.

Blue Beauty Products to Soothe Winter Skin: TATCHA Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream and dear klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream

dear klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream was gifted to me by the Affiliate team at Wishtrend, my go-to shopping destination for probably the best and most affordable Vitamin C serum on the market. This periwinkle-toner ointment is listed as such, and is not intended to be used as an all-over facial moisturizer. Instead, this is more of a spot treatment for inflamed, irritated, and troubled areas like this red patch that appears on my chin when I over-exfoliate or when my skin gets random dry splotches. I actually heard mixed reviews about this one, but for me personally this ointment worked really well, because I’ve seen noticeable improvement to my problem areas. You can read my full review here.

The key ingredients are guiazulene derived from chamomile, and centella asiatica extract, both of which are well-known for their soothing and anti-inflammatory properties.

TATCHA Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream has been in my life for a while now, and even though I could use this moisturizer daily, I actually save it for emergency situations. Nothing calms down the redness better when I have a face full of hormonal breakouts. Even my husband, who is normally very cautious about trying new products, absolutely loved this one for his sensitive skin. In fact, these days it’s me that has to borrow the jar from his bathroom counter, haha! By the way, the entire Indigo line is absolutely fabulous! I recently bought a tub of Indigo Body Butter, and another tube of Indigo Hand Cream during Tatcha’s annual friends & family sale, those are my wintertime staples that help my skin recover from being blasted by cold weather.

All products from the Indigo line combine the medically-proven healing properties of colloidal oatmeal, anti-inflammatory indigo and moisturizing liquid silk that make the most hopelessly chapped and irritated skin types look soothed and calm.

What is your favorite soothing treatment? have you tried either of these products? Let me know in the comments below!

I’ve heard lots about Klairs from Wishtrend, though I haven’t tried anything from the brand. Speaking of OST C21.5, I’ve just opened a brand new, refrigerated bottle (bought in October) and it is a tad yellow already. I hope it’s still effective.

The only thing I’ve tried from Klairs is their BB cream but I’ve been hearing great things about this cream, you make me want to buy it haha
