Just like I eagerly await to see the contents of the September box ever year [because it’s my birthday month], I also always look forward to the December boxes. There is always something special and festive about them, and they always feel like Christmas gifts. Is it just me? I never shake my presents under the tree anymore, but I shook this year’s POPSUGAR MustHave December 2016 box and it was heavy, you guys! First thought: some kind of exercise equipment or maybe a glass water bottle for the New Year. My other guesses included some heavy objet d’art, a body lotion/body wash, or even a planner for 2017 [wouldn’t that be nice?]. The real contents were not at all what I expected. 🙂

1 // Odeme Catchall + Ring Dish – I actually can’t believe we got these lovely decor pieces! They are both beautifully made and feel pretty substantial. The design is simple enough to fit in any room seamlessly without clashing with the color palette. Right now I hold these two hostage in my beauty room as props for photography, but after I’m done, they are going to their forever homes: the tray will house my husband’s skincare in his bathroom, and the ring dish will be placed on my bedside table.
2 // Baublebar Snowfall Pendant – POPSUGAR often sends gold-toned jewelry, so seeing something silvery was a nice change of pace. While I totally enjoy golden baubles, it’s the silver ones that I tend to actually wear the most. I like the simple design of this one, especially the length of the chain. It will go nicely with my sweaters and sweater dresses this winter!
3 // Mane Message Date Night Bobby Pins – This trio of handcrafted bobby pins is adorable, but I don’t see myself actually wearing them, since they’re not really my style. However, they would make a great stocking stuffer for someone who loves sparkly accessories. POPSUGAR suggests using them to pin back the bangs, using just one bobby pin or even all of them together for a sparkly holiday look.
4 // Winky Lux Lip Pill in Bunny – And I thought I’ve seen them all, haha! This lipstick comes in a pretty tube shaped like a pill, so it can’t stand on your vanity like other lippies. That gold + silver bullet though! FYI, I haven’t heard of this brand before, but according to POPSUGAR they are cruelty-free.
5 // Sisters’ Gourmet Baker’s Dozen Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix – Yum yum yum! This cookie mix looked so scrumptious that I basically made the cookies right after taking these photos. One jar makes about 13, and I thought they were absolutely delicious! My husband is not a sweet tooth, and he finished half of them in one go. I really shouldn’t be eating any more sweets right now, but these were hard to resist 😉
6 // Dessange Professional Hair Luxury Color Restore Protecting Top Coat Serum – What hides behind this unreasonably long product name is a hair serum that helpsboost the look of your hair regardless of whether your locks are color treated or not. It can be used as a heat protector, to add long-lasting shine, and to fight off the frizz, which is a huge problem for me personally every time winter comes around.
BOTTOM LINE:
This was an amazing holiday box, and it definitely felt like a gift! I know of many POPSUGAR MustHave subscribers who like to buy gift boxes as presents for Christmas, and I bet this one was a delight to receive. I’m still speechless over the fact that we got these gorgeous trays, and I am surely going to use mine for years to come. My other favorites this month are the lipstick – it’s just so pretty! – and the cookie mix, which is pretty much gone already 🙂
