Don’t you just love early Fall? I think it’s the most beautiful season, with its changing leaves and rich colors. This month Beauty Box 5 is preparing us to welcome this exciting season with products that can keep our beauty game on fleek. Say hello to smoldering eyes, flawless skin, and soft silky hair!
HOW IT WORKS: For $12/month subscribers will receive a box filled with a carefully selected mixture of five travel-sized, deluxe-sized and full-sized cosmetic products from luxury, commonly known brands, niche brands, eco-conscious and even vegan brands. Aimed at introducing women to new cosmetic products and educating them on best practices, Beauty Box 5 scours the market to find the best products for your lifestyle. Click here to subscribe.
After making multiple appearances in another subscription box, this brand finally made it to Beauty Box 5. New Elizabeth Mott Tints & Sass Lip + Cheek Stain is a lightweight gel tint that sinks into the skin and stays on all day long. I see tints as more of a summer product, because to me they’re especially convenient when going to the beach or a pool, but I think it works for gym, too. Also, I couldn’t help but notice that this product is made in South Korea, the motherland of lip tints!
For gorgeous hair Beauty Box 5 included a travel-sized bottle of Beautiful Nutrition Lemon Rinse Clarifying Treatment. It’s basically a hair rinse that should be used after your normal shampoo-conditioner routine, and oh my word it smells amazing! My hair looks super shiny after I use it, too.
Here’s another very generously-sized sample – Harvey Prince Sincerely Mini Roller, and like all HP perfumes it smells like heaven. It reminds me of my Mom, in a good way – this is a scent similar to something she used to wear when I was little, and it’s a very pleasant and warm memory. The notes include cedarwood, freesie, and orange blossoms, but to my nose this is a floral fragrance, like a huge late Summer bouquet.
bellapierre Shimmer Powder in Snow Flake is a multi-purpose product that can work as a highlighter or an eye shadow. The powder is ultra-pigmented and it’s easy to apply too much if you’re not careful enough. One jar will probably last me a very long time!
And finally, I received a full-sized Be A Bombshell Eye Crayon in Angel Eyes. Girls, you know that I am just not a fan of this brand, but that’s my personal opinion. If someone likes their products, then they will appreciate the beautiful pearly color that leaves a frosty sheen on the lids.
Swatch reference: My skin tone is between MAC NC15 and NW15 with yellowish hue and neutral undertones. Sometimes I can wear NW20 in the Summer. I thought this would be useful to know, since all screens show colors differently, and I also don’t have a studio setup with consistent lighting. Hope that helps!
THE VERDICT: I am a huge fan of the hair rinse, and the perfume takes me back to my childhood memories. Not too thrilled with the eye crayon, but that’s just me, because I try to avoid this brand alltogether. Overall, the box left a good impression, and I’m pretty sure most subscribers were happy with it 🙂
