I can’t believe I had this review sitting in the drafts for several weeks! I could have sworn I published it, but apparently not. My bad! In August nutritionist Heather Bauer hand-selected some great healthy snacks to help us stay on top of our game during this busy “back to school” season.

Bestowed Box August 2015 Review. I didn’t like the flavor at all, but can’t argue with the health benefits – each of these little packets packs three servings of vegetables for a quick and wholesome snack on the go. I really wish I could have a taste for it though.

Click through for review and more pictures! >> www.glamorable.com | via @glamorableI believe I received Honey Stinger Kids’ Organic Energy Chews in another subscription box in the past, but not sure which one. However, what I do know is that these are absolutely delicious! You’d never know they’re healthy because they have bold bright flavors and come in a variety of fun colors. I think any kid would like these [or a kid at heart, tee-hee]!

Click through for review and more pictures! >> www.glamorable.com | via @glamorableYou should have seen my husband’s face when he spotted Kashi Cherry Cinnamon & Cardamom Overnight Muesli soaking in the fridge. He thinks muesli is the most disgusting thing ever, but I adore it in any form 🙂 This new morning treat from Kashi is so delightful and full of flavor. I tried to find more at my local Meijer but I think my store doesn’t stock them yet. Hopefully soon!

Made with nutritious beans, these little multi-colored crunchies are packed with protein and healthy nutrients for a satisfying midday snack. I wouldn’t say they were my favorite, but I did enjoy them on a boring afternoon.

Bestowed Box August 2015 Review. Click through for review and more pictures! >> www.glamorable.com | via @glamorableI have a special spot in my belly reserved for these pouches that look like baby food. As a smoothie fan there’s no way I can resist snacking on these healthy mixes of fresh fruits, berries, and vegetables! Organic Slammers Superfood Snack was one of my favorite samples in this box, because I’m always on the lookout for great healthy snacks that won’t crumble or leak all over my bag.

Bestowed Box August 2015 Review. Click through for review and more pictures! >> www.glamorable.com | via @glamorableHave you tried dandelion coffee before? I haven’t! Let’s just say the flavors of these Teeccino samples were very unusual. They definitely don’t taste anything like coffee, but the flavor kind of grew on me with every sip. I think it’s a pretty nice alternative for people who can’t have coffee for one reason or another, and since they provide energy through nutrients rather than stimulants there’s no crash afterward.

There was also a free product coupon valid for one jar of Vegenaise – a vegan mayonnaise, as you might have guessed. I personally never heard about a vegan mayo before and wasn’t sure if it’s something worth trying, but my mother-in-law is currently on a vegetarian diet and sounds like she was really interested in this one, so I gave it to her. Sounds like this condiment is pretty fancy!

Enjoy Life Snickerdoodle Soft Baked Cookie was listed on the product card, but wasn’t actually in the box. However, I vaguely remember receiving an email from Bestowed that it was a typo and the cookie wasn’t actually supposed to be in the box. Thought I’d mention this here in case someone received the box and their cookie was missing.

THE VERDICT: Another awesome box from Bestowed! If you’ve been reading my reviews, you know that I am not always wowed by these, but this one was definitely great. The variety is what I liked best – there were some products, like dandelion coffee and EBOOST SPRUCE, that I would never have tried otherwise, and this is what I like most about the subscription.

Disclosure: Just wanted to remind you all for the sake of transparency, I listed in the disclosure button at the top of this review that I purchased the box myself. As a blogger I get 50% discount and only buy one off boxes when I want to, so I am not actually subscribed to the service.

Have you ever tried dandelion coffee or any other coffee alternatives? Do you think Bestowed is a service you’d be interested in trying some day? What’s your favorite healthy snack? Let me know in the comments below!
