Usually I don’t care much for Cravebox’s brand selection because they offer mostly drugstore products, but I decided to enter the Summer Beauty box drawing anyway simply out of curiosity. Luckily, my entry has been selected as one of the winners and I received my box filled with yummy smelling goodies soon after. Here’s what I got!
1. Tree Hut Shea Sugar Body Scrub in Tropical Mango (18oz) – $6.99I was pretty excited about this one since Tree Hut is one of my favorite drugstore brands. I think they have great body scrubs that exfoliate well and leave my skin super soft to touch and yummy smelling. My favorite way of using it is to slather a generous amount on the dry skin and gently massage it in circular motions, then rinse off and put on a moisturizing lotion or a body butter for the best results. Not sure if I’d recommend this scrub to people with sensitive skin though, as it contained some fairly large salt crystals.
2. Garden Botanika Oatmeal and Peppermint Body Bar (4.2oz) – $7.00
I usually don’t use body bars so I don’t really know if this one is any good. All I can really say about it is that this soap made my skin feel squeaky clean, and left a nice minty scent that lingered for a short time after the shower. But judging from all the raving reviews online this might be a good one! 🙂
3. PURISTICS Totally Ageless Intensive Eye Treatment (0.5oz) – $17.59
I’ve seen this eye cream around and was never interested in trying it before, glad I gave it a shot after receiving it in my Summer Beauty Cravebox. I felt like it instantly tightened my under-eye area, and I also liked the fact that it’s not greasy because I really hate that nasty oily residue left by many other eye creams. I think the tightening effect is temporary because I didn’t feel it after a couple hours.
4. Think Thin Protein Bars in Brownie Crunch (2.1oz) – $2.19
After reading so many raving reviews about this protein bar I guess I expected too much from the taste which would explain my disappointment. It was VERY bittersweet, and I really had a hard time swallowing it. This is definitely not something I’d ever buy or try again.
5. BIC Soleil Bella Disposable Shaver (1ct) – $2.00
This disposable razor gave me a better and closer shave than the Schick Hydro Silk razor I received in my August Birchbox box. It glides well, slightly pulling the skin to give a nice close shave without irritation and ingrown hair.
