Au Naturale All That Glitters (swatches & discount)
A few weeks ago I posted about Au Naturale All That Glitters ($45, now $31.50) quad on my Instagram feed and stories, and we talked a bit about the formula and the different variations these sets come in. I had the opportunity to try both, but considering that I usually prefer warm-toned makeup, I thought it would be wasteful to request the other quad since I probably would never use it again after swatching. So even though I only have this one to show you, trust me, the cool-toned set is just as gorgeous with its plums and pinks.
The kit contains four little pots filled with the same formula as the famous Multisticks, so they just look like cream eyeshadows, but slightly firmer. You use these just like you would use the multistick: they work for eyes, lips, and cheeks and can be layered together, or built up for additional opacity.
EYES:
When using Multisticks as eye shadow, I normally use my finger or a flat, firm synthetic brush. I find that medium coverage works best, otherwise, it begins to crease when your skin’s natural oils start breaking down the formula.
LIPS:
When using as a lipstick, the finish tends to be slightly matte, so I recommend also swiping your favorite lip balm on top if you want a glossy sheen. Depending on the shade, I either use my fingers or a lip brush [synthetic and natural work about the same for me here].
FACE:
When wearing these on the cheeks, I never had to make any adjustments – on most days they blend well and stay put on their own, even without setting spray. This may be different if you have very oily skin or if you’re wearing these in the summer, in which case I’d go with a primer underneath just to make sure the color doesn’t fade. I always use my fingers to apply.
Au Naturale All That Glitters quad has four neutral warm-toned shades that could work for any season. It includes the following:
