Before I even begin I want to say that my March Favorites are still my favorites in April, so take a look at that post if you want to be enabled even further. The roundup I’m sharing today consists of products I discovered or re-discovered in April, so this is more of an addition to my March list rather than a replacement. I suppose that explains why there are fewer products, too 🙂
SKINCARE:
Finishing up skincare I love is my ultimate goal, because as a blogger I tend to neglect my favorites in lieu of testing the newest products I receive from companies. In April I discovered a new drugstore must have as well as re-discovered a hand cream that I adore, and yet it was found in the very back of one of my IKEA ALEX drawers.
Words cannot describe how in love I am with the new PIXI Hydrating Milky Mist [$15, available here] right now. It was released very recently as addition to the brand’s existing lineup of beauty sprays [Glow Mist and Makeup Fixing Mist]. This mist feels like a liquid lotion that hydrates and refreshes the skin without making it all sticky – a perfect solution for very hot days when a moisturizer is just too much. The consistency reminds me of a much more expensive Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist, which I like for the same reasons. Full review coming soon!
I purchased La Mer The Hand Treatment [$85, available here] on a friend’s recommendation and didn’t regret that purchase one bit. It’s pricey no doubt, but every time I use it my hands simply look amazing and feel oh so soft. Honestly, I don’t feel an ounce of guilt for buying expensive beauty products! While many of my friends spend their tax return on designer clothes, shoes, and bags, I prefer to use mine on skincare and makeup, because they make me just as happy 🙂
MAKEUP:
MAC Otherearthly Mineralize Skinfinish [$32, available here] was the standout in the Future MAC collection, and I just had to have it. The finish is absolutely gorgeous! I love that I can customize the final shade to my liking and make it look more bronzey or more pink depending on the look I’m going for. Review coming soon!
I shared my love for Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup [$40, available here] a couple days ago, and I want to bring it up again. This foundation is amazing! I love how weightless and airy is feels on the skin, and it really does stay all day.
One day I was looking for a bronzer to use and stumbled upon Vita Liberata Trystal Self Tanning Bronzing Minerals [$55, available here]. I remember using it briefly and then putting it away, creating an unintentional out of sight – out of mind situation. Today it’s sitting proudly on my vanity table, reminding me to use it daily. The finish looks incredibly natural even on fair skin!
HAIRCARE:
Only one haircare product to share with you this month, but it’s a good one! How many of you use scalp exfoliators? I remember using and loving one from Aveda, and now Madam C. J. Walker Beauty Culture Wonderful Scalp Exfoliator [$32, available here] is my new favorite. It makes the scalp feel fresh, giving extra volume to the roots. It almost feels like opening all windows in a stuffy room.

I really enjoyed the La Mer Hand Cream too. My favorites right now are the MDSun Serum, a PCA Eye Gel that I just got and Dr. Lipp Miracle Balm for my dry lips
What a great list of products!
I need to try the mist. La Mer is always on my wishlist.
That mist is great, and my skin loves it 🙂 Definitely a repurchase!
UD Naked skin is my go to foundation. I love it.
Good to know you are loving it, too, Carleen.
I would love to try that Pixi mist, especially if it’s a dupe for Tatcha. Great splurge items on here, too!
It totally is, Nidia! I think you would really like it 🙂
That Pixi mist sounds nice!
It works really well to soothe and refresh the skin. I like it!
What a great assortment of products. I just pulled out the UD foundation to start using again.
It’s a great foundation, isn’t it? My skin seems to like it a lot.
The hydrating milky mist from Pixi is awwwwwesommmeeee
Agreed! it’s one of the best things I tried from the line.
I need to try the Naked Skin fdtn, I have the concealer already and love it.
the concealer works really well with this foundation, it’s like they were made for each other.
I want to try the Naked Skin Foundation, I hear such great things about it
It’s a good foundation for oily and combination skin, and it doesn’t feel too drying. I like it a lot!
We have a couple of the same favorites.
Yay! We often love the same things, don’t we?
I tried a scalp exfoliator once but couldn’t stand the way it felt, I couldn’t get all the scrubby little beads off. It was super weird. Anyway, I’m curious about the one that you listed here though because I love that brand!
This one is different – it’s a smooth cream-like exfoliator rather than a scrub type. I think you’d like it 🙂
