It All Began with Carrots…

Biotta Carrot Juice

The idea of nurturing your outer beauty from within is something I take seriously. I always try to make sure my meals are nutritious, even on cheat days when I feel like eating nothing but fries and cake, and juices are a big part of my diet. Back when I still lived in Russia I often used to buy freshly squeezed apple, orange, and grapefruit juice from a grocery store nearby. Few things come close to freshly squeezed juices, and Biotta products just might be the next best thing.

Biotta Carrot Juice

The first bottle of Biotta carrot juice made with fresh organic carrots from Thurgau was sold in 1957. The company has since expanded their lineup with dozens of various smoothies, 30 natural juices, and even an energy drink, all made with the purest ingredients. I was sent a bottle of the original Biotta Carrot Juice, and I couldn’t wait to give it a try! After all, carrot juice has so many beauty and health benefits, and it’s been a while since I last had it, too.

1 // BEAUTIFUL SKIN: Carrot juice is rich in Vitamin A, also known as Retinol. Vitamin A has been proven to boost collagen production, increase cell turnover, and reduce the signs of premature skin aging.

2 // STRONG IMMUNE SYSTEM: Carrot juice is loaded with vitamins C, E, B group, and potassium that are essential for strong bones and healthy immune system.

3 // HEALTHY MUSCLES: Vitamin K in carrots is essential for the protein synthesis in the body and helps improve the results from your workouts.

4 // REDUCED RISK: Regularly drinking carrot juice may reduce the risk of stroke and breast cancer.

5 // EYES OF AN EAGLE: Carrots contain beta carotene, lutein and zeaxanthin that promote healthy eye function and reduce the development of age-related vision loss.

6 // SUN PROTECTION: The same wonderful beta-carotene that helps with the eyesight also helps reduce sunburn and increase the skin’s resistance against sun damage.

Biotta Carrot Juice

I bet you’re all wondering what it tastes like, and let me tell you, the flavor is different from the carrot juice I tried before. The ingredient list says that the juice is made with fermented carrots, which would explain why it has a slightly milky aftertaste. It was pleasant nonetheless, although not nearly as sweet as freshly squeezed vegetables. Luna got particularly interested in my Biotta Carrot juice, and even though I didn’t let her try any, she was still sweet enough to pose for the picture 🙂
