I found myself enjoying the perfume I chose last time way too much, and finally decided to subscribe so I can sample other fancy scents that I had on my radar.

Scentbird Review - Hermes Un Jardin Sur Le Toit >> http://bit.ly/1EKLUDx | via @glamorableIn the month of May I chose a vial of Hermes Un Jardin Sur Le Toit [approx. $17 worth of product], which I had my eyes on for a few years now. I vaguely remember smelling it on someone, and then hoping to find a sample big enough to determine if I want to buy it or not – Hermes fragrances can be pricey, even their “low end” ones like this one.

The nose behind this intoxicating fragrance – Master perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena –  created it to depict the beautiful rooftop garden located on top of the Hermes’ headquarters building in Paris. I’ve never seen a rooftop garden before, but this scent made me dream about it, so at least in my imagination it’s quite spectacular.

Scentbird Review - Hermes Un Jardin Sur Le Toit >> http://bit.ly/1EKLUDx | via @glamorableUn Jardin Sur Le Toit is the perfect scent for late Spring/early Summer months, with its bright and fun bouquet of ripe fruits, florals, and herbs. It opens up with a burst of apples and pears, then you slowly start noticing green grass, rose, and magnolia, and finally an unexpected guest – rosemary – shows up.

The whole concoction lasted about 4 hours on me, which is about right for EDT. It smells fairly strong, but doesn’t turn you into a walking cloud. All in all, I would definitely recommend it for anyone who loves fruity florals, especially if you like pears – that note is particularly prominent here.

Sounds like a lovely summer scent. After receiving a sample for review a couple of months ago, I signed up last month and I just got my fragrance. I’m trying to decide whether to stay or cancel because I’m not really a scent experimenter and I don’t have anything that I’m dying to try right now. That said, I think it is such an innovative idea for those who love to try different fragrances.

I also signed up after getting a sample, because I loved the first one I got 🙂 I’m still searching for my signature scent, so I don’t mind a few failed experiments here and there, especially since we can try some really fancy fragrances here.

I really like the concept of ScentBird. Every review I have read or heard has been positive. I like to wear different scents, so this sounds like a fun way to experiment or try a perfume out before buying a new one.

Well, let’s just say that I don’t usually repurchase things I received as PR samples, so that should be an indicator of how much I loved the service 🙂 I hope I can finally find my signature scent.

This sounds like a really cool service! I love having a different scent for every season, so this is a great idea. Tell us how you like the Tom Ford fragrance–I’ve been hearing everyone talk about it!

I know, right? It seems that everyone likes it, too. Really excited to finally give it a try!

I love the concept of Scentbird and I wish there was something similar in the UK or Estonia.

It really is! I’m excited to finally try Tom Ford’s Black Orchid, that everyone’s been raving about lately.

I like the idea behind Scentbird. I feel like I’m too cautious to spend and use up a whole perfume so the monthly trials are a great idea!

    • May 27, 2015 / 8:26 am

I rarely buy full-sized bottles, too, and end up spending money on not-so-great value wise rollerballs and sprays. Hopefully, once I find my signature scent, I can just splurge on a large bottle 🙂

  10. May 26, 2015 / 1:37 am

I love the sound of this, though rosemary is unusual!

    • May 27, 2015 / 8:27 am

Rosemary is very faint, and it totally works in here. It’s not a weird note at all in this particular fragrance 🙂

  11. June 1, 2015 / 2:48 am

    I want thisssssssssss

    • June 1, 2015 / 9:25 am

Now I want it, too 🙂 I think I might pick up a full size eventually, because this is my kind of scent.
