Since I subscribe to so many monthly boxes I almost never feel the need to purchase individual beauty products, but sometimes I make exceptions. Usually, they are things that were on my wishlist for a long time, and if I happen to be passing by the store that sells those items, I always make up an excuse to stop by and pick them up.
In the month of March I purchased only three products, but it’s all about the quality, not the quantity, right? First one on my lust list was MAC Lipstick in “Lovelorn”. This pretty pink shade has been on my wishlist ever since I saw swatches on some small British beauty blog a few years ago, but I completely forgot about it until very recently. After taking my parents to the airport, hubs and I stopped to check out sales at Macy’s and MAC counter was right along our route.
I wasn’t planning on shopping for anything at the time, but for some reason my brain decided to remember about Lovelorn at that very moment, and I bought it without hesitation. The sales lady tried to sway me into getting matching lip pencil and lip gloss, but I didn’t feel like I needed them, not in this color at least. I have to say, I really like the formula of MAC’s lustre lipsticks, many of them are fairly pigmented and can be worn sheer or opaque, depending on how many coats you choose to apply.
Another product I’ve been lusting over is Givenchy Croisiere Healthy Glow Powder in 02 Douce Croisiere, and yes, I am totally obsessed with bronzers, because they give my pasty complexion very pretty glow from within if I dab a little bit on my cheekbones and forehead. Givenchy is not a brand I would normally recommend, but their lipsticks, face powders [including bronzers], and blushes are top notch! With exquisite finely milled formula, this bronzer looks incredibly natural and adds color without accentuating pores.
And my final purchase is actually from a drugstore. I needed a new mascara, so I decided to try this new Volume Accelerator from Rimmel. It’s supposedly infused with lash growth serum [which I have, but always forget to apply] that nourishes lashes and helps them grow longer and thicker day after day. Excited to see the results!
