You know that I embrace my pasty complexion and try not to use self-tanners or bake in the sun, so I only use bronzers to give some definition to cheeks and temples, and also to make my face appear slimmer. In this roundup of weekly favorites I wanted to show you bronzers that I’ve been using for a while, as well as recent additions to my stash.
e.l.f. Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder in St. Lucia is a dupe for NARS Orgasm & Laguna duo that costs times and times more. The pigments aren’t as finely milled as NARS, but I really can’t complain, because for $3 this is a total steal. I’ve been using the bronzer for contouring and just recently re-purchased this palette, because the old one got all dirty and gross [that’s why it looks brand new in the pictures].
Le Metier de Beaute Blushing Bronzed Duet in Romeo & Juliet is the perfect marriage of a warm-toned bronzer and a cool-toned blush that look fantastic on the skin when worn alone or together. It’s a new item in my rotation but I’ve already used it several times, and loving it so far.
Physicians Formula Bronze Booster Glow-Boosting Airbrushing Bronzing Veil Deluxe Edition – Cheese Louise, isn’t that the longest name you’ve ever seen? All ridiculousness aside, this is the perfect drugstore bronzer for fair-skinned girls: the pigment is buildable, and looks completely natural even on the palest of complexions.
L’Occitane Fleur Cherie Radiance Face Powder Pearls have been long discontinued. This Limited Edition bronzer blush can probably still be found on eBay and in select L’Occitane boutiques in Europe, but for the most part it’s pretty much gone from the shelves. However, it’s still one of my favorite makeup items that I use often. These warm pearls give my cheeks that healthy glow from within, which is helpful when I skimped on beauty sleep.
Do you have a favorite bronzer?

That L’Occitane bronzer looks amazing! What a bummer that they don’t sell it anymore. I’m a big fan of Physicians Formula products, even if they do have cheesy names. Their Happy Booster blush is adorable, and actually a good product even without the false claim of “boosting happiness.”
You and me both! I’ve been buying Physicians Formula for years, and their powders, blushes, and youthful wear concealer are still among my must-haves!
And I totally think that L’Occitane should bring back their cosmetics, I bet this bronzer would sell really well. I also still have one of their lipsticks, which has a wonderful creamy formula and smells like peonies.
I am just really getting “into” bronzers, so I am always looking for new ones to try!
Bronzers are fun! I just recently got into them, too, and was surprised how little choice there is for fair-skinned girls. I’ll have to check out the one you posted about today, too – it looks nice!
I used to love NARS Casino, until I got the Terracotta Bronzer from Guerlain.
Guerlain is definitely on my list of bronzers to try – their new LE pressed bronzer/blush for S/S2015 in gold packaging is so fabulous!
I want to get my hands on those pearls!! They look so pretty!
Right? Such a shame they got discontinued! I hope L’Occitane decides to bring these products back some day.
Like you, I’m pretty pasty, so I only use a little bronzer to warm up and contour. I like the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil, but the one I use the most is from the It Cosmetics CC+ Radiance Palette. Just love that thing.
I totally understand! The bad part about being pale is that it’s so easy to look almost sickly – a hint of bronzer on the cheeks will give us that healthy glow 😉 I will have to try that It Radiance palette – I’m already a big fan of their brushes and concealer.
I’m a medium, and I’m loving Romeo & Juliet as well! It’s so great and I can’t keep myself from picking it up! <3
Likewise! I was a bit uninspired when I first looked at the shades in the pan, but they wear beautifully – alone and together 🙂
I love the ELF contouring blus/bronzer.
That one is great, isn’t it?
