Glossybox June 2016

What week is this, guys? It’s the beauty box week! Today I am going to show you what came in my Glossybox June 2016 box that was created in collaboration with Tony Awards. The box contained 7 essential products that will get you ready for a closeup, anytime!

HOW IT WORKS:

Glossybox is one of the most popular international beauty subscription services, and now it finally came to the US. Each month Glossybox subscribers receive up to six deluxe-size to full size products from crème de la crème of international brands. At $21/month this is one of the more expensive monthly sample beauty boxes, but the value of your box will always be way above. Click here to join Glossybox, and don’t forget to use Ebates for $2.75 cashback!

CONTENTS:

1 // Icona Milano Emotion Allowed Mascara [$19, available here] – Long-lasting and waterproof, this mascara won’t melt off and withstand all tears of joy life brings us on a regular basis. I tried it only once so far, and it was nice! I really liked the slim wand, that shape makes it super easy to do your lower lashes without smudging the mascara all over.

2 // Sinful Colors x Kylie Jenner Denim & Bling Collection [$3, at drugstores] – There was a variety of colors sent out and I got this lovely baby blue shimmer, which is my kind of pastel! I saw some reviewers mention that a $3 polish cheapened the box for them, but I think Sinful Colors has great formula and the products are high quality. Besides, Kylie definitely has a great eye for trendy shades, so all of them look amazing. However, I will have to give my bottle away because at this time I do not support Revlon or Revlon-owned companies after the controversy surrounding the company’s CEO. Look it up if you don’t know what I’m talking about.

3 // LA Splash Lip Lacquer [$18, available here] – What a pretty classic red! The color I got is called Red Carpet and definitely screams “red carpet” to me. The shade is perfect for a night out, which is why I probably won’t reach for it often, but it’s going straight into my dressy makeup stash.

4 // Tan Towel Half Body Classic Self-Tan Towelette [$27, available here] – You know, I didn’t used to be into self-tanning until this summer, and now I am obsessed. Finding the right products to use on my extra fair skin was a bit challenging, because the first layer will almost always come out patchy, but I think I got the hang of it now somewhat. I gave away all of my Tan Towels before so I never actually tried them, although I got a bunch in the past, but this time I’m really looking forward to it 🙂

5 // Sebastian Professional Whipped Creme [$20, available here] is not your mama’s 80’s hair mousse. This upgraded version gave my roots much needed volume without the crunch and kept my loose waves from losing their shape throughout the day in the 90 degree weather.

6 // Sebastian Professional Dark Oil [$44, available here] was included as a little extra. Glossybox recommends mixing it with your deep conditioner or a masque and leaving on the hair for 5-10 minutes for the best effect. I haven’t tried it yet, but the reviews look promising.

7 // Caolion Premium Bubble & Cool Pore Pack Duo [$30, available here] – You guys know I am a huge fan of Korean skincare, and Caolion was one of the first brands that stood out to me back when I tried their legendary Mool Pool cleanser. This sample duo contains two different masks that can be used together or on their own to detox and unclog your pores for that red carpet ready skin. I loved my sample and now thinking of picking up the full size!

BOTTOM LINE:

I think this was an awesome box and there was something for everyone in it. Sometimes beauty boxes have these vague ambiguous themes with products that have nothing to do with the theme, but Glossybox June 2016 clearly channeled all the glitz and glam of Tony Awards this time. I have several favorites this month. First of all, the Caolion duo is the obvious winner here, and I am super happy I had the chance to try it. My other favorites are Sebastian Whipped Creme mousse for its flexible hold and non-sticky texture, and of course Icona Milano mascara that will probably be my go-to for the pool this summer.

I am always impressed by the Glossybox reviews and unboxings that I see. The products are always different from the ones in the less expensive boxes. This box looks great, and I agree that the pastel blue polish is so pretty

Great box. Was this the regular box or a special Tony’s one?

I think this is a great box and I don’t see why people would complain about Sinful Colours cheapening it. Those polishes wear better on me than Chanel polishes do. The Caoloin sounds wonderful.

This looks like a fun, enjoyable box. I don’t snob SinfulColours, they make good polish!

Great choices. That mascara sounds nice, and I’m so glad that beauty boxes have started including Korean products. I loved the Mool Pool cleanser as well, and the mask sounds lovely.

I got to try a Glossybox a few months ago, and it’s a really nice sub box! I love the sound of pretty much everything in this box. That hair oil sounds decadent!

Glossybox subs have been awesome the past few months! What a great selection!

I’ve been thinking about subscribing to Glossybox for awhile. I’m going to look through your previous posts, too, and hopefully I can decide.
