Told you I’d bring the favorites back, so here they are! Like I mentioned previously, from now on these posts will be on a monthly basis instead of weekly, because honestly in the past they got a tad redundant. After all, I can’t really change my preference that often, especially when it comes to products I genuinely love. So without further ado, here is what I’ve been loving in March!
MAKEUP:
There are a lot of makeup products I like right now, but these two really stood out to me in March.
Viseart Eyeshadow Palette 01 Neutral Matte [$80 for 0.84 oz, available here] is not a cheap purchase by any means, but these eye shadows are far superior than anything I’ve ever owned. And gram for gram, Viseart offers better value than MAC Pro eye shadow singles, even after they dropped prices from $10 to $6. A celebrity MUA Kevin Bennett explained it very well, so instead of paraphrasing I’ll just quote him:
“Many of you complain that Viseart Paris Eyeshadow Palettes are expensive. Let’s do the math and put that concept to rest… It would cost $119 USD for MAC to duplicate the $80 Viseart palette. #TheMoreYouKnow“
I keep using this palette for everything, and not just as eyeshadows. I often dip a wet brush and use these as eyeliner, I use a mix of browns and taupes to create a custom contouring shade that looks natural on my fair skin. I also use a mix of gray and brown to fill in my brows, and it works even better than my ABH powder. Amazing what a single palette can do, right?
Artis Elite Oval 10 [$75 for 1 brush, available here] is a luxury makeup brush from the brand’s Elite Mirror Collection. For the longest time I thought I’d lost it, because I couldn’t find it for months. After moving furniture a couple months ago I stumbled upon a box which was full of unopened products, it was like a time capsule of PR samples. And whad’ya know, there it was! Until now my favorite way of applying foundation has been a damp beautyblender or It Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Powder Brush, but Artis Elite Oval 10 is just on a whole other level. It literally takes me 10 seconds to apply foundation with this brush, blending it seamlessly and without streaks. It’s very expensive for a synthetic brush, but I haven’t tried anything better yet.
SKINCARE:
Grinif Queen of Rose Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream [$27, only available in Korea] is one of those K-beauty gems I discovered through Memebox. I got bored with my previous eye cream and opened this one on a whim. I’ve been using it for a few weeks and at this rate I will most likely finish the jar, because it’s such a pleasure to apply. Every day my eye area feels soothed, lifted, and moisturized, which is exactly what I look for in an eye cream. This cream won’t work for someone with very oily bottom lids [it’s very rich] or those who can’t stand the rose fragrance.
DR.MJ Bee Tox Control Cream [$71 for 1.85 oz, available here] has been my go-to moisturizer for the past few months and I expected it to run out by now. Like I mentioned in this review, I love-love-love it! Bee venom helps deal with breakouts and relax any forming fine lines, while an array of natural extracts and butters nourishes and protects the skin from stress. It won’t make my empties pile this month though because there’s still about a week’s worth of product inside. I’m bummed that it’s almost used up, but I’m not going to repurchase when I have so many other products to try.
miss age Snail Anti Wrinkle Serum [$47 for 1.7 oz, only available in Korea] is a fabulous nourishing treatment that contains a ridiculous number of natural extracts. A pea-sized amount keeps my face quenched for hours, and it also works well for repairing any skin damage. I especially like to use it after chemical peels because it really minimizes the flaking.
TATCHA Camellia Gold Beauty Oil [$95 for 1 oz, available here] is currently my facial oil of choice. I like that it sinks in immediately after the application and never feels sticky; I even add it to my foundation sometimes. Plus, it smells heavenly!
LJH Tea Tree 90 Essence [$45 for 1.7 oz, available here] took a permanent place in my beauty routine and I can’t see it leaving anytime soon. Heck, I got nine more replacements and will buy more if I spot a good sale. This essence helps deal with redness and diminishes breakouts before they get too bad.
NOW Solutions 100% Pure Jojoba Oil [$35.99 for 16 oz, available here] comes in a huge bottle, and I mean HUGE. I’ve been mixing it with my skincare and haircare for the past month, and it still looks like I barely used any, probably because I only use a few drops at a time. I imagine this bottle will go a long way 🙂
G.M. Collin Sensiderm Cleansing Milk [$32 for 7 oz, available here] is a recent discovery, but it already took an important role in my beauty routine. This cleansing milk is incredibly gentle, pH neutral, unscented, and does not irritate my skin in the slightest. I own many amazing cleansers, and this is now one of them.

I adore the Viseart Neutral Palette, but for some reason I’ve neglected it recently. Thanks for the reminder. I am very intrigued by the Queen of Rose Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream. It sounds perfect for me.
It’s a lovely eye cream that doesn’t get the love it deserves for some reason from Kbeauty community. I honestly can’t imagine why someone would dislike it, because it works SO well for me.
I wish I had only bought the large oval Artis brushes. I only reach for 6, 8, and 10. They’re fabulous! Also got Viseart Paris Nudes recently and am loving it.
I have Paris Nudes and love it, but I don’t reach for it as often as I do for these matte neutrals. And I’m with you, I don’t think I would need more than 2-3 Artis brushes, so having all of them is totally unnecessary.
I’m totally in love with that Artis brush. It’s the best brush ever for foundation. I’ve put away all my flat foundation brushes. I also love the Viseart. The sales on this last December were phenomenal so I bought several. Well worth the money.
I agree! I thought nothing could replace a beautyblender, but this brush surpassed it with ease.
That Viseart palette looks like something that I would use religiously. The Now jojoba sounds good too.
Both are fantastic products! I am totally obsessed with them all 🙂
Viseart makes such great eyeshadows
I agree, the quality is just outstanding.
One of these days I’ll get my hands on a Viseart palette!
It will be the best makeup palette you ever tried!
I love that you love Viseart and the KJB quote is gold. The Tatcha oil sounds divine!
I’m a big fan of Viseart now, all thanks to you 🙂 I never heard of the brand until you mentioned it (that was before they were sold at Sephora).
I love my Viseart palettes, too! I love all the Korean skincare, and need to revisit my stash of them! I want one of those Artis brushes so badly! I bought a dupe off ebay, but I understand that they don’t even compare to the Artis ones.
That’s what I heard, too. I was tempted by those dupes but then I read the reviews and people don’t really like them as much as Artis originals.
I have that Viseart palette, it’s worth the splurge!
Agreed! The best neutral matte palette in existence.
I didn’t realize Bee Venom worked on breakouts too. I might have to try it! I’m itching to get my hands on the Artis foundation brush. It looks lovely!
Bee Venom is a great ingredient that has so many uses! It works to boost hydration and to relax fine lines, too 🙂
I would love to be able to try those Artis brushes! They look so fancy!
I love mine! They might look crazy, but Oval 10 is the best thing that happened to my foundation since beautyblender.
